what does vv. mean in footnotes? I'm reading the bible and the footnotes are really detailed and sometimes say things like--
"the destroyer: here presented as a distinct agent (cf. 2 Sam 24:16; Prov 28:24; Isa 54:16 [KJV "waster"]), although in vv. 13, 27 the attack comes from YHWH himself."
I can parse out what every other abbreviation means but not this fucking "vv." and it shows up a shit ton.
