Opinions?
It's V-licious.
But who is V.?
overrated trash just like every other pynchon book
V. is to Ulysses as GR is to Finnegans Wake.

Better than GR. Favorite from 10 to 12 years old, and then on.

that grill is so attractive I want to cut my own head off from beauty

It is for undergrads, rather than postgrads?

my thoughts exactly. nice dubs btw
It's my favorite Pynchon so far. Read it and Crying, IV, BE. Currently in the middle of Vineland. I haven't the big guys yet, but I think I'll enjoy it given that V is more similar to them.

disappointing. stopped reading halfway. realized that wasting i was wasting my time with him. some people like him a lot. I do not.
>>7621655
Lots of fun. Certainly moments of confusion, but all in all a great introduction to Pinecone.
I just started M&D. Its absolutely hilarious.

>some people like him a lot
those people are plebs, anon

i usually feel the same way. about the only post-modern literature i've liked so far was Gaddis. everything else i've tried has ended with me being disappointed.
>>7622265
have you read nabokov's stuff?
>>7622273
yes, and i was very disappointed in it.
>>7622265
Even White Noise?
>>7622276
i havent read any delillo, however, i have already begun to purge my list of post-modernism, in favor of classics. I'm a much happier reader now.
>>7622290
what type of classics are you reading?
>>7622298
well, right now i'm going back to finish moby dick, next i have proust, and after that i'm going to fill in some gaps in russian literature, and quite a lot more, british picaresques, rereading don quixote, going to read stendhal, balzac, zola, and eliot. i have quite a few things to go through.
Fantastic. Complex, hilarious, moving. Prose caught me off-guard but once I adjusted to it I absolutely loved it.
Profane chapters are weaker than Stencil chapters but both are exceptional. Blows my mind that this was published when Pynchon was 26. Additionally, read the Profane chapters as a damning of the Beat Generation and you will enjoy them more.
eh, it sucked.
I'm currently reading it. It's been pretty entertaining so far but chapter 11 feels like a fucking slog.
>>7622265
gaddis and delillo are better than pynchon and dfw
delillo isn't really pomo
notice how every post claiming that this book sucks gives no explanation whatsoever
>>7625188
Just big tits? No. Pretty, nice legs, and taught tingling nipples. Oh and her hair.
The adipose tissue is just extra.
>>7625177
>delillo isn't really pomo

>>7625193
Cuz itz fucking amazing from the moment the motorcycle is described in the snowy alley onward
>>7625177
le epic contrarian meme
>>7625177
delillo > gaddis >dfw > pynchon
>>7621655
I'm about to start reading it, after I've finished Dubliners. I'm looking forward
