Are you talking about: Taliban: Militant Islam, Oil and Fundamentalism in Central Asia? Because there's a fair amount of mention of him in that. But obviously the problem is there's so few concrete facts about him any sort of biography may not be possible. Have you seen the range of his estimated birthday?

It's more of an accumulated history of the Taliban and the region (and the West's interaction with) but considering his pivotal roll in both he's mentioned often. Good for a pre Soviet to fairly recent picture of the area and its key players.
