hardcover, is there any question? So sick of my cat rubbing his face on the corners of my paperbacks, forever marring the corners

I buy my life-long books in hard back form. I'm an educator and my every semester books get a lot of wear. For reading I greatly prefer trade paperbacks.

Hardcover feels/looks fancy and the covers don't bend but they're pretty unwieldy and dust covers fucking SUCK. paperback all the way

paperback because im fat and so i rest my books on my big ol belly when i read and hardbacks dig into my tummy :3

I'm too poor/cheap to buy hardcover so I don't really know

If it's an old book, I like hard cover. A lot of them are much better made than modern hardcover books, they look amazing without any kind of dust jacket.

In new books, I actually prefer paperback most of the time.

Paperback, they're usually more comfy to hold and the font in hardcover can be sometimes a bit too different, pretentious or hard to read on a regular basis.

Depends on the book. Usually hardcover, but for the more trashy fare, paperback is fine.
