Does anyone have any books that they regret reading?
The third in the Bourne series.
700 or so pages of an old man hobbling around an island before Bourne kills him.
The manipulated man by Esther Vilar
Shouldn't have taken that bright red pill.
I have become even more incompetent at talking to women now.

Who is this semen demon?

Kek, this.
Also really regret reading Revolutionary Road.
>Oh shit babies first existential crisis
>Daddy issues
>Better move to Paris
>Haha I should knock up wife!
>Shitty small town dumb neighbours
>I'm a boring faggot who enjoys mediocrity
>better cheat on my wife
>I'm a stupid slut
>Better cheat on husband in a car
>Wah wah wah I'm pregnant oh shit
>Better kill myself and leave my two children without a mother
Insufferable characters, terrible plot, had to do a feminist analysis on it. Stupid novel for stupid people.
my diary desu

lol you completely missed the point
>>7586449
No I didnt faggot yu did
I read like 150 pages of The Charterhouse of Parma and wish I could have all that time back to read something with some meaning.
>>7586344
>a feminist analysis
what in hell compelled you to do that? Either a work has universal merit or it doesn't
This piece of shit.
It really was a waste of time.not as big a waste of time as going on /lit/ is though
>>7586464
>there is universal context to an individual's interpretation
>complete kek
Infinite Jest wasn't really my thing. I found some parts enjoyable but I would have rather spent that time reading other stuff.
it was well written and a stretch to say I regret reading it but I found it pretty boring for the most part.
>>7586461
I'm reading it right now and you are a pleb my friend.
>>7586475
if there isn't it is mediocre lit
>>7586449
>The point
Oh fuck off. Are you going to go on about gender roles, abortion and women's rights now?
I'll probably get lots of flack for this but I absolutely hated A Confederacy of Dunces. 125 pages into it literally zero plot progression. Hated every single character and had to resist the urge to burn the book. The only reason I didn't burn it is I respect the medium too much.
>>7586492
I really don't mean this as an insult so please don't take it as such, but how old were you when you read it?
Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto. What utter garbage.
When I was in my freshman year of university I read half of "Battlefield Earth" by Elron. I had no idea who elron hubbard was and thought it would be a "fun" science fiction book. I guess it's possible to be a pleb even by genre fiction standards.

>/leftypol/

>>7586710
>My world view is threatened therefore fuck you!
I regret reading Hitchhikers Guide. What a boring book.
>>7586344
One of the worst (if not *the* worst) movie I've ever seen. Glad I didn't waste time on the book.
>>7586497
>my perspective is universal
>kek x2
>>7586754
Leonardo DiCaprio is terrible. The actress who played April is equally as terrible. She is like the female version of DiCaprio. Stiff, unbelievable acting. Probably got her career jumpstarted by sucking dicks, and DiCaprio is just lucky and had everything laid out for him. Horrible, horrible acting from both of them.
>>7585948
Maybe Uncle Tom's Cabin.
>>7585948
Reported for nipples.
>>7586469
And yet here you are, retard.
You're even shitposting to show that you're absolutely devoid of substance.
I'm not sure about regret but I'm currently reading and almost finished with If on a Winter's Night a Traveler.. And I havent enjoyed it one bit.
>>7586861
Wow.
I've never met someone this shit at reading.
What's it like?
>>7585948
Yeah I pretty much only read classics before I recently found lit and I always thought Great Expectations was a waste of my time, it was so.. dull
heres a short reading list ive gathered in the week or two ive been here
what will I regret reading?
>>7586884
All of it desu senpai.
Women and Men, I wouldn't say the book was worthless in its totality but, it really left the impression that could be edited as a series of unrelated short stories and would be better easily read.
>>7586908
*more easily
human stain by Roth. Never ever going to read Roth again. 2 Palacuck books (not fight club).
Anyone else read Jane Eyre? Anyone else think it was a piece of shit?
>>7586884
Art of War isn't that interesting
Tao Lin could only be interesting if you want something that captures modern feelings
Ulysses and Gravity's Rainbow will be tough which might be hard
Infinite Jest is tedious but enjoyable
