I've read Heart of Darkness, Nostromo, The Secret Agent and Almayer's Folly and have to say Nostromo was the most satisfying.
Any recommendations for what to read next? Some of his less well known work?
I know this is a literature forum, but you should find the longest version of Apocalypse Now that's available and compare it against Heart of Darkness. You'll discover things about both works that you've never noticed before.
For follow up works - Lord Jim is his best novel. The Nigger of Narcissus, despite its very dated title, is a perennial work.
My favorite is the Secret Agent. Such a fucking depressing book, although it's funny at times, and kinda BTFOs revolutionaries and political anarchists.
Nope, she's some random girl who published the absolute SHITTIEST short story in a lit mag. She goes to Yale, and is everything that's wrong with modern lit. She's such a fucking cutie, though.
By the way I posted this pic in that thread just to make people believe that girls this hot are on /lit/, which of course isn't true. Also, guaranteed replies.
