Apart from rhyming the last words of a sentence, what other ways could you rhyme?
Examples would be appreciated!
My own input: A poem whose rhymes are only the last words of a sentence seems childish on account of being simple
Multisyllabic rhymes like rap music.

But this still only involves the final syllables of a line.

I came and saw
I blamed and continued on
For fame was my lot
Tamed could I never be
Too lame are the rest of you
In flames He shall throw the rest of you
Name a series where the author goes FULL RETARD halfway through.
>Was reading the Earth's Children series a while back
>First book is carefully paced, methodical, and an interesting examination of two primitive cultures interacting with one another.
>There are a few "miraculous moments" that will require you to suspend your disbelief, but nothing too intense.
>Second book is pastoral and comfortable. The book describes the methods which primitive man kept themselves alive, it feels like you are with them every step of the way.
>At the end of the second book, there is an abrupt change of pace.
>Suddenly, the main protagonist learned to speak another language "in her sleep".
>She suddenly invents about a million things on her own, out of nowhere.
Was really thinking I found something unique and interesting here, but she went and fucked it all up.

My mom really enjoys these books and we listened to the audiobooks when I was growing up. This bitch tames every animal and invents every fucking piece of technology possible. She also has an """""amazing""""" talent for language and quickly picks up every one she comes into contact with. She also figures out conception after her and her husband kill a tribe of warring lesbians. After they cross a glacier or some shit completely unassisted.
Is pic related the best general chemistry book out there?
Hell no.
My dad tried to shoehorn me into chemistry with this classic work. It was a horrible experience, and I got As in high school in chemistry. But do you see me working in stem now? God fuggin forbid, no. I threw away any such notions, like so many of the rest of the (bill) nigh geniuses on 4chan.
>>9663280
What do you recommend me to buy instead?

Chemical engineering student here.
I used Nivaldo Tro's "Chemistry: A Molecular Approach". I had no complaints. He also mentioned Socrates and hemlock in the chapter on organic chemistry, so he must be pretty based.

>okay cool, we're just going to keep doing what we're doing. Thanks for that though. We already know that the psychological life is separate from our technical work, but it's great that philosophy has taken the pain to spell out what a child can figure out.

That's definitely true about the social sciences since they aren't real science.
There's lot's of things that can be self consistent and true in mathematics but it doesn't necessarily mean that's how reality functions. Something passes from correctness to truth when an experiment is created to test the correctness of a theory. The standard model is currently being validated and vetted out by the LHC which is an experiment to test multiple theories that have been developed over the past century.
Scientific knowledge is tentative and provisional and a currently accepted theory is just the best explanation among all available alternatives.
Are his writings worth reading?

If you like the humor of the movies you'll probably enjoy his writing asswell.
I suggest you start by reading the whore of mensa and (a personal favorite of mine) the shallowest man.

Laying under the covers, with your shoes on. Your feet feel clunky and unnatural this way, but you enjoy the anamorphic feeling you get from it. Another few seconds tick by. You know where you left your keys, they are right on the countertop where you always throw them after you come home. You aren't supposed to leave for another 5 minutes or so. The fan by your bed blows unassumingly onto the comforter draped over your head. You can hear it but you cannot feel its soft breeze. The pillow calls to you, and you rub your face roughly into what you have pretended to be the bosom of some imaginary woman many times before. Yes, your head really smells like that.

Hehee, what is going on right now, muchachos? I am on a subway, and this white girl with pink hair, thick PAWG-esque thighs and pink hair, semi-slim waist and an anachronistic black bowler hat is sitting, moving her lips along to whatever music she is listening to, presumably, or just talking to herself with earphones inside the orifices of her ears. And her hair is pink. Light pink. Florescent? Is she a lesbian. Her shorts are black and tiny, very short indeed, but slacks beneath cover her flesh, which is a tragedy because I'm almost certain that her meaty glutes, which are moving a bit because of her rhythmic foot-tapping, reverberate at a light tap, creating a ripple effect all over her geometrically precise buttocks. So sup? I'm not on the subway but inside a train. I was in a train parked briefly at a subway platform. It's moving again. The hat really adds to her personality, and I know she isn't anything but very basic. I am not basic. The train jerks during its run, and I would like to offer my seat to the frail, old, and pregnant, but such unforseen black swan jerks that disrupt my inertia and bring great dishonor upon me as an individual who cannot even keep his footing inside a train. The pink girl, as I imagine her holiest of holies to be, got down there stations ago. I get down too. I begin walking towards the stairs at the end of the platform and stand outside the station waiting for my bus. I feel different. Precise. My head remains bowed as I walk, avoiding eye contact. The bus arrives and I hold my metro card out, and step into it. The bus staggers quickly, stop to stop. I reach home tired, work out from being human all day, it's daunting, and I break into tears before I even reach my kitchen. At least I made it inside. I switch the TV on to distract me, but then I remember that I pay for Netflix too, and I must watch it. I put Bojack Horseman on, slip into bed and watch until my eyelids can bear being open no more.
What do you think about Giacomo Leopardi?
Is he the poet with the worst life?
>>9662925
Amazing poet. I used to hate him when I studied him in high school, but now I'd be lying if I said I don't find some of his works to be nothing short of phenomenal.
And yeah, he had a ridiculously shitty life, but I think Keats is a good contender.
>>9662925
I can relate to how he doesn't get the woman and struggles with things less sensitive people have no problem with.
>>9663014
He had rheumatiod pains and extreme scoliosis; he had pott's disease (or Ankylosing spondylitis), all this caused psychological problems.
His life was shit: he was isolated, never got to play with other kids, hewas always rejected by the woman of his life, the only time he tried to get with a hooker some brats found him and started making a joke out of him (he never got to have sex with her)
How do I write a book to teach virtue, good morals on childrens?
Not necesarelly has to be christian.
By having a clue about ethics and pedagogy, so you would understand that you probably want to write a children's book, and thus a story.
Or you could simply read them the Odyssey and get them to read Aesop and Collodi...

Hey /lit/ i need your help.
So as far back as i can remember i have had trouble reading, and no I don't mean in the literally retarded sense.
what I mean is that when I'm reading a book, any book, I somehow just cant process the words that I'm reading. It is pretty much in one ear out the other.
Not to mention that I'm slow as shit reading, i have several novels that I'm trying to read but for some reason I cant read fast or understand just what the fuck I'm reading.
please help me, i don't want to be like this anymore.
>>9662787
Reading and comprehension are skills , which with time grow. If you're suffering adhd or something then get meds , otherwise stick and consciously make yourself read and comprehend every word and the greater theme.
Also making notes help , so make notes , whatever you can understand write it down in your own words . Actual hand written notes btw . Computer stuff doesn't work.
that is the literal retarded sense...
>>9662818
I do have trouble focusing but i cant get meds because reasons.
I will take your recommendation to take notes and try to piece together the theme

Where can a man find some good literature to fap to? The market is flooded with erotic novels for women talking about muh feelings and muh big man and muh rape fantasies. I know that most men will just go and watch porn videos, but can't I have a patrician fap with a book and my imagination?

Read my book. It's specifically what you are asking for.
>>9662674
To find that, you need to find erotica written by men. There are very, very few men who specifically work in that genre. I've been writing short erotica fiction for about 13 years now, but primarily for a female audience- not quite sure how well it'd translate for male readers, I've never asked.
What went wrong?
