Why did the judge turn on the kid and Tobin but not Brown or Toadvine?
Also, did the judge rape the kid at the end?

Can't rape the willing.

Rec me your favorite audiobooks, or just books in general for a guy who doesn't read. I have summer job driving a tractor and felt like it would be a good way to past the time. I like Librivox and would prefer to stick with the classics.
Is an author limited to writing characters in and around their intellectual capacities? Do you think it's possible to author a character that is convincingly smarter than you are?

>Is an author limited to writing characters in and around their intellectual capacities?
No, but it comes off as more authentic if that's how it's written.
>Do you think it's possible to author a character that is convincingly smarter than you are?
Yes. But if you're not careful it will come off as cringe.

Let's put it this way, you can write clever and wise characters, it just takes careful thought and confidence. But to write intelligent characters, especially within a certain field, the amount of studying you'd need to do to get the information right would basically leave you knowledgeable in the field.
Find an authentic voice first. And be sure if you wish to write an intelligent character that you're ready for a daunting task.

It's alright, just read the free text of The Night Land. By the time you finish you'll be in the process of dying on dialysis and you won't need to read anything else except a bible.

Please just quit being an autistic tightass and just fucking use epubs. You aren't losing brain penis points for reading letters on goddamn pixels. Nobody is going to call you out on your shit for not reading on papyrus 2.0. And if they do just call them an autistic tightass and give those scrawny nerds a good boot to loosen them up.

Are there any other examples of groups with such conflicting views of a philosopher's early and late work as Land's left-wing fanbase? They seem to look at 90s Land as a god and current Land as a literal demon. No, this isn't a shitposting thread, I genuinely want other examples of this phenomenon in philosophy.

So the media and govt are having a great time using the word inquiry for once as opposed to enquiry

Wow, I finally understand why John Green writes this stuff, it's surprisingly satisfying to just focus on a plot and characters. Maybe I'll even make some money with it in the future.
When did you grow out of literary fiction boys?
literary fiction is only fun to read. it's painful to write.

Anyone else dream so vibrantly that it just begs to be written down?
Akira Kurosawa set something off inside of me years ago, nowadays I have amassed hundreds of various dream concepts I want to see illustrated or novelized in the days to come.
They all go here:

Let's not cross the line into illegality, I am substance free, and tend to remain that way, because WINNERS DON'T USE DRUGS!

well /lit/. Y'all have been my friends/critics/peers for years and I love you, but I finally know it in my balls that I am going to have to leave if I'm ever going to make it as a writer, which I intend to do. I just spend too much time here. I hope you learn to get out of your own way and realize that to be a writer is to write everyday and that is enough. there is no such thing as a good first draft nor anything that editing cannot fix. I hope I'm not the only one that makes it. I do believe in the minds here. Farewell.
pic is my favorite pape of all time. Always motivates me to create Love you

I see where you're coming from, but you could just learn a bit more about time management. You know, become more efficient. I only come here for insights about texts from other readers, which is what you'll lose if you go for good. Also I doubt you'll be able to.
But hey, good luck man.

Thank you, friend, I try.
O esforço é grande e o homem é pequeno.
Eu, Diogo Cão, navegador, deixei
Este padrão ao pé do areal moreno
E para deante naveguei.
A alma é divina e a obra é imperfeita.
