So as we live we experience the world in passive or active ways. Let's define that a passive experience is something that happens with you and you don't need to put any kind of effort to the situation. An active experience is one in which you need to put mental or physical effort.
Now I ask: is it possible to experience something in a third way that isn't passive or active?

What the fuck. Are you stupid
I'm studying leisure and they genrally classify our time spent in work. leisure or rest. I would classify some passive experiences as leisure (socializing, consuming media, watching the sky) and not rest. I'm trying to think about some active experience that I could consider as rest but I still couldn't find any.
The only rest activity in the end seems to be sleeping and, maybe, some forms of meditation. Any other relaxitation activity would fit better in the leisure class.
What's a good book like the Robert Langdon series that follows a character(s) who follow historical clues and to treasure hunt or solve a mystery?
I'd read the Robert Langdon series, but apparently the reviews are terrible for it. It's inaccurate, the foreign language is terrible, it's poorly written, has bad plots, unexplainable and improbable physical situations, and sometimes just bashes religion, not even in an introspective or actually critical but just "meh Christianity is bad meh" boring preachy sort of way.

I know a good "historical" sci-fi book about xeno archaeologists travelling the galaxy, trying to find out what happened to an extinct alien race. It's called 'Engines of the Gods' by Jack McDevitt. No space battles or other aliens, just human scientists examining ancient alien relics mysteriously left for others to find. Very cool read IMO.

I'll jump to the Brown's defense. The problem people have is that they assume they're going to become some sort of historical genius by reading Brown's books, which a 5-minute Google search for practically anything in his books can put to sleep. So long as you aren't looking to learn anything or take anything away from his books, they're at least somewhat enjoyable - better as time-passers than anything else. Good airport reading material.

Is there any real reason to read stoic texts beyond just meditations? I've started some epictetus and it seems to basically just repeat the fact that we should not worry about things we can't control, live in accordance with nature, etc. Is there any more knowledge to be gained or is that about it?
>>9977666
Fuck Aurel and epictet. Read seneca, but don't let him transform into a passiv faggot, it nearly ruined my youth. After Seneca read Sade and regain your full youthfull Power. And then fucking dominate some sluts, and fuck her feelings. After you're done with each of thjs subhumans, they will forever worship you as a God (if you fucked them good enough).
What is it like starting off as a book author now, versus seven years ago, or even in the early 2000s? Fashionable book genres of the moment change, at times, but regarding the actual nature of being a published author, how has the work towards that changed? Now, it seems that it's pretty simple to get an e-book uploaded somewhere, but before that became an item, how likely or unlikely was getting a book published if one was just starting off? How about the circumstances of university education VS. none, how beneficial would that be for this field? The picture is somewhat related, as we all have to get our start, somehow.
you write like an autist
Is there any poetry chart other than this crappy one?
Anybody read this one? Almost finished and find myself disdaining most of the characters. Also seems fairly well written, but isn't really about anything at all.
The author seemingly romanticizes what is in my mind absolute degenerate behavior throughout the book. It's mostly about bored soldiers chasing tail.

>bored soldiers chasing tail
I take it you've never served in the military
Explain Spinoza.
Isn't that a super nutritious algae that vegetarians like to eat?
Judaism and Jewish communist politics masked in the shroud of baroque metaphysics; see the transition from the Ethics to the Theologico-Political Treatise, how it begins with geometrical philosophy, Cartesian innovation, and Stoical brilliance, and ends with a justification of "democratic republics" where all is ascetical communityism based on his interpretation of nature (or God-as-nature) as a calm and placid thing.

There's a reason Marx loved him.
>Congrats me, you finally did something, gonna do a reverse masturbation as a reward for you tonight!
>But where do I post this?
I don't want to post anywhere so people can just steal from me and get credit but at the same time I want people to actually read what I wrote, is there any decent website/community to put yourself out there?
Who the hell would steal anything from you?

Yesterday I had a question in regards to Wittgenstein's tractatus (4.27) and a few very nice individuals helped me to resolve my problem. So if you're seeing this, thank you. However there's a new problem in connection to the old one. (See pic, 4.27 and 4.42). Why does Wittgenstein use Kn in the second binomial coefficient?
I thought that it is more like Kn=Ln because of 4.3:
"Truth-possibilities of elementary propositions mean possibilities of existence and non-existence of states of affairs"
Thank you in advance!
Anyone else finds reading books extremely boring? It's so goddam boring.
Why read when you could be flying? Only an egghead reads books.
i cant fly so im stuck reading books
>>9977061
Not really getting your example, the only thing you really can do while flying is sleep, watch a movie or read.
How can I fly?
If I buy a CreateSpace published book (of a work in public domain) from Amazon will it filled with typos and generally bad print and binding? Is CreateSpace a decent publisher?
>>9976954
Self-published work will usually have typos, don't know about public domain. Just watch reviews of createspace books on YouTube, it's all positive.

If you want to learn how to tell a story, study the first two volumes of Ultra Maniac by Yoshizumi.

Fastly? I will study your suggested volumes, thank you. I am just an amateur with a wild fantasy.
