Is this a decent non-fiction reading list, /lit/? Tried to include liberals, communists, anarchists, socdems, and fascists alike while also of course paying attention to historical figures.

the best writing is what allows just enough detail to where you can fill in your imagination.
the more meaningless detail you cram into your writing the more cringey it gets.

Yes. They're not very popular here anyway.
After reading " The Picture of Dorian Gray", I must I am simply fascinated by this man. Exciting, tongue-in-cheek, philosophic while being humurous. Are his other works as good as this amazing book?

One day while Andy was masturbating, Woody got wood. He could no longer help himself! He watched as Andy stroked his juicy kawaii cock. He approached Andy which startled him and make him pee everywhere on the floor and on Woody too. Being drenched in his urine made him harder than ever! Woody: "Andy Senpai! I'm alive and I want to be INSIDE OF YOU." Andy: "Oh Woody Chan! I always knew you were alive! I want to stuff you up my kawaii ass!" Woody grabbed a bunch of flavored lube and rubbed it all over his head Woody: "Oh my! It's cherry flavored lube! Cherry is my favorite! Woody then stuffed his head up into Andy's tight ass! The other toys around the room watched intently as Woody shoved his head back and forth into Andy's nice ass, continuously making a squishy wet noise. The other toys also became aroused and they all gathered around Woody and Andy and started to urinate all over them, and then they started to masturbate. Andy: "Oh my goodness, Woody Chan! You are churning my insides up so well! Your nose is stimulating my prostate! OH YES! All the other toys became so aroused by this, that they could not help themselves anymore! They pushed Woody completely inside, and they all went inside. All of them wanted to be inside Andy's nice round ass. Andy: "No wait guys! My ass cannot hold this much! I'm getting so full! All the toys went inside of poor squirming Andy and pretty much, he was beyond full, and died from having his insides completely damaged. The mother came inside and found Andy, dead with a huge ass hemorrhage on his anus, with a HUGE belly full of toys.

Anyone ever try this? I need to find somewhere where I can read out loud as if I'm giving a public speech to help improve my oratory.
Beach, against the roar of the waves. You also put a rock in your mouth.
Read Pericles' Funeral Oration in every Barnes and Noble in your city and film it for us to watch.

At home?
I'm a drama student, could give some basic tips if you'd like
Hey /lit/, you think it's ok to read this in spanish?
I heard McCarthy is one truly prose estilist, so does it mean that all the literary value of this book would be lost if translated?.
You clearly can read English so read it in English REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Yes, a lot of the quality of the book comes from the prose. I can't imagine a translation doing it any sort of justice.
Are there even any good Spanish translations? I recommended this to a prof at uni when we were dealing with imperialism.
But youh, it'd be preferable to read it in the original not only for the style but because McCarthy references a ton of stuff that the tler might not get.
Anyways, why are you thinking of reading it in Spanish OP? Is it not available to you in the original or do you preffer to read in Spanish.
Trying desperately to control my breathing, I rounded another pile of vaguely eighties-themed debris and collapsed at its base. Distantly, I could hear him. "ISN'T PAC-MAN COOL?" screamed several of Ernest Cline's mouths as his amorphous body slopped and glooped down another aisle of dusty, faded neon colors. "I WANT TO BE VERY GOOD AT PAC-MAN. THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I LOVE STAR WARS. I LOVE DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS." I frantically scanned the culture dump for anything I could use to protect myself; finding a copy of Astrosmash, I wound up and heaved it with all my might. It clattered to the ground and I heard his mass shift direction, oozing wetly toward it. "THE INTELLIVISION HAD A VERY UNUSUAL CONTROLLER. IT WAS INTERESTING. I WILL TELL YOU ABOUT IT IN EXCRUCIATING DETAIL." I had discovered, here in the landfill of our childhood interests, that Ernest Cline and I were different people, beyond the obvious fact that I am a mostly standard-issue if somewhat unfortunate-looking human being and he is a gelatinous orb with many grasping tentacles, none of which he uses to craft decent fiction. Some time bought, I drew myself up, and fled.
The dump stretched in every direction as far as I could see. I wearily trudged forward through the still air, carefully negotiating an aisle of precariously stacked Rush albums. Momentarily out of danger, I examined the heaps of artifacts around me. Was there anything of value? There was nothing. There was nothing. I froze at a distant roar. "I KNOW EVERY LINE OF MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL. DO YOU WANT TO HEAR IT? I WILL RECITE IT." I had to pick up the pace. I had to escape.
On my third attempt I finally heaved myself over the fence and, after picking myself up on the other side, staggered up the slope, breathing in the rich aromas of the earth beneath my feet, of the wildflowers opening in the sunlight, of the clean, warm air. I turned back. Distantly I could see Cline's tentacles writhing over the heaps as he creeps down an aisle of nothing important. "DONKEY KONG IS GOOD," he bellowed, and a cluster of birds burst forth from atop a nearby tree. I felt regret that I could not share in his joy and even more relief that I could find joy outside his prison.
this is the best thing i've read all night. great job. of course, i am very very stoned.
I couldn't even make it past the first paragraph.
