Which one do I go with, /lit/?
Right by far

They are the same book.
>>10002567
As far as covers go, the left, but just read The Crying of Lot 49, effectively the same book but better written.
What are your favourite quotes?
I'll start:
"How did you know I was interested in Byzantine erotica?"
"the ice formed on the butler's upper slopes"
"Tuesday. It isn't Tuesday. Is it Tuesday? Perhaps it's Tuesday. Yes, it's Tuesday."
"I am a museum full of art, but you had your eyes shut."
Hello /lit/, does anyone here have the link to the right-wing library over at Mega? I'll be grateful for any help!

I mean at Mediafire, Mega is, of course, down.
In light of John Ashberry's death, what are some of your favorite poems by him? Why do you like that poem so much?
I'm not very well-acquainted with his work.

The first of the undecoded messages read: “Popeye sits
in thunder,
Unthought of. From that shoebox of an apartment,
From livid curtain’s hue, a tangram emerges: a country.”
Meanwhile the Sea Hag was relaxing on a green couch: “How
pleasant
To spend one’s vacation en la casa de Popeye," she
scratched
Her cleft chin’s solitary hair. She remembered spinach
And was going to ask Wimpy if he had bought any spinach.
“M’love," he intercepted, “the plains are decked out
in thunder
Today, and it shall be as you wish.” He scratched
The part of his head under his hat. The apartment
Seemed to grow smaller. “But what if no pleasant
Inspiration plunge us now to the stars? For this is my
country.”

>Dear Christian,
>At this time in life, you and Sonichu need a quest and purpose in life. Let Sonichu become a champion for autistic persons everywhere, and continually defeat the perils of autism. Sonichu could become the spokesperson for autistic persons, with an ongoing fight for them in chapter after chapter, or good deeds on the internet. He could become the spokesperson from now on. You and Sonichu could become famous worldwide.
Well, was he right?

I read the first two volumes. I really enjoyed the first book, but the second did nothing for me. Do they get any better? Any recommendation in a similar vein?
Any books about Naval Warfare? Preferably the kind with sail ships and 1700-1800 weaponry, with not a perspective focused too much on pirates and more on the Navy.
From what I understand this is a very beloved book by /lit/

What are some good books about translation? What I'm looking for is books that are less academic and more practical. For example, such books where translators themselves discuss what problems they face when translating certain texts and how they solve them.

Mona Baker - In Other Words: A Coursebook on Translation.
Source: I'm a professional translator specialising in literary translation. During studies I had to get through a lot of academic texts and this one really stands out - it's accessible, well written and very practical - deals with most of the problems you will encounter in real life

would Davy browse and shitpost on /lit/, or would he be an reddit fag?
>>10001775
He would be on tumblr
He would maybe visit /lit/ once, and then write about how misogynistic it is
he would absolutely prefer to hang out with redditors for their sincerity
he would take one look at /lit/ - pynchon, postmodernism, irony, cynicism, harold bloom - and see everything he was tired of by the time he was 30
he would be on lit, arguing with pseuds about wittgenstein and metafiction
This guy slaps your girlfriends arse full of farts.
