Is this book good?

I'm looking for a fun introduction on different topics of philosophy.
I don't want it to be too shallow, but also not too technical. I'm just searching for a fun read to give me a little distraction from being a STEM-fag.

Can you recommend other books?

I picked this up thinking that it would be an actual discussion about PTSD, its effects on the person and how it ruins both him and his family.

Intro gave the impression that it would first tackle how an innocent civilian can be "conditioned" to be a cold-blooded murderer through military training.

First chapter discusses how the media is responsible for rise of black crime. Videogame and violent movies causes violence

I really like books with socialist themes. Some of them (like The Jungle or 1984) were really heavy handed and poorly written but I like the idea of the struggle between man and the capitalist mode of production. Can you guys suggest me any more?

Why is ancient greek lit so important to read? What are its practical applications? Have you noticed any changes in yourself from reading it?

How can I avoid this feeling that reading is a consumercuck hobby? Does reading need to be paired with lots of writing (i.e., being a producerbull).
