Should Don Quixote become a religious figure?
He probably should. Too bad he's a character in a book and not a real person, though.
>>9084865
Weak bait.
>>9084870
Ok, senpai. Whatever you say. Maybe skim over Wikipedia page before shitposting if you can't be bothered to actually read books. :^)
What does your writing setup look like, lit?
Me googling "newmfx brazil fart|farting|farts" on a Starbucks' free wifi while touching myself

He is not, what he wrote is.
>>9084668
No.
Well duh; he won a Nobel after all.
Someone kept posting this book as a meme saying things like "Why haven't you read it?" etc.
I thought they were meming but I just finished it.
It is undoubtedly the greatest book ever written. Why haven't you read it yet?
I was drunk when I saw the post yesterday, so I postponed reading it until the weekend.
>>9084657
I can't find it at chapters, that's why!
>>9084657
Alright. Added to kindle.
hello /lit/
I have never read a book in my life, but I'd like to start
about me: 19 years old, average intelligence, loved movie Taxi Driver, hate any huge marvel blockbuster movie. Was "underachiever" in school, all the teachers praised me and told me I'd be an amazing student if I wasn't so lazy (you know the type) when in reality I mascaraded my mediocrity with my "laziness" as I knew I wouldn't be a great student even if I tried my best.
And yes, I have legitimately never read a book from start to finish in my whole life. ama or someshit.
Why? Is it attention span? Is it because you've never actually read a good book before? Or were you reading just for the image of reading?
In any case there is not and probably will never be an agreed upon "/lit/-starter pack" that'll fit the requirements and demands of everyone. If you like psychological novels, the Russians are your dudes. Are you a Christian? Even better. If it's poetry or philosophy you want into, start with the Greeks. If it's all action you want then stick to the /sffg/ containment thread. For now take a gamble and pick a novella
And of course If you have the attention span for it, you might find this book incredibly amusing, relatable, eye-opening, or all of the above
>Taxi Driver
Read Catcher in the Rye, should get you started

Is this a good book to start learning greek philosophy?

You're not gonna make it.

Have fun with your glorified Wikipedia article

Barnes is a great scholar. I'd recommend McKirahan's book (which is built around the fragments and sticks to them much better) but you should be fine with that.
I recently picked this up.
Is it a meme or actually good?
Would you be willing to "scan" this book and share with us? I myself would like to read it, but there's no digital version and I'm poor, so can't import it.
PS: When I say "scan" it can be simply taking pictures of the pages with your phone and making a PDF out of this. There are apps that even do that, but I also could make the PDF if you got the images.
>>9084385
Who told you it was good? It's a meme because Bloom was so embarassed by it he tried to stop it from being printed.
>>9084385
no one on this board has claimed that this book is good
