If all understanding is in constant motion and therefore potential contradiction, can we truly attain knowledge? Is there even a point to Derrida's deconstruction technique?

Derrida was a feminist cuck and more interested in photoshoots than the truth.

I feel the attempt to equate Plato and Derrida is mistaken. Plato actually does think there's a truth, a Truth, to be found, and I'm not sure that's the case with Derrida.

I want to learn philosophy, but don't want to crawl through thousands of pages of literature only to find 100 pages worth of stuff.

Are there any power points or french line -lists, or summaries, or tidbits, or "did you knows" aka short texts compiling all the results of a writer?

Like Karl Popper is very smart guy but I just want a summary of his thoughts.

I loved it. I think because of its length it sort of dragged on before the last transit. but after that I could barely keep myself together and eventually I started tearing up as I got closer to the end. it honestly was amazing by the time I closed that book. beautifully written, funny and filled with lots of heart. it's my favorite pynch desu senpai.

In all ages their are societies which prosper to the degree where some (if not most) of their people no longer have to toil in common labor. This gives room and time for thinkers. Greece just happened to be the first of these civilizations that we have record of.

Which one(s)?

Also, why should I be judged insane while my ex co-workers, who spent eight hours every day talking about what they intend to eat for dinner, arguing over the specific temperature outside, etc are said to be sane? It's disgusting. Who would want to be sane if that's the standard of admission?

Open question: what books have you found to be intellectually/emotionally fulfilling or just worthwhile in general that do not hinge upon or include any darkness, tragedy, or sadness? Or which don't teeter at the edge of catastrophe (like Shakespearean comedies)?

I just ask because when I think of examples, basically the vast majority of books I know have to be excluded. Only a couple books come to mind, mainly Tristram Shandy, which I think is terrific and enjoyable because it just effuses goodwill. Also I think some Nicholson Baker novels like The Mezzanine and Vox are great without really having any dark parts within them. And writers doing kind of cerebral experiments, like Borges and Calvino, also seem to fit the bill sometimes.
