How do you deal with the fact you can never safely say "I am this!" and are constantly moving from ideology to ideology day by day as you are presented with different arguments?

How do you deal with the fact no one's ever loved you?

My Gott, this man actually thinks that he can leave ideology!
Is lasagnacat worthy of literary analysis?

you and I both know that this has already been done in an hour+ long analysis. no need to expand. just watch lasagnacat's video again.
Sam Harris
>>9190806
Why's he so based, lads?
>tfw sam harris baits a trap
Oh man. Please God let this happen. Vox or Molyneux or somebody should tell Cernovich to rein it in. This would be on par with Hitchens/Mos Def. Harris had Peterson shook, I can't even imagine what he would do to Cerno. This would be a bloodbath.
I want this.
>>9190840
Harris made Peterson look like a clueless toddler and took him to kindergarten. I can only imagine how he'd eviscerate full blooded meme thinkers
>We know that in Shakespeare’s time, women were not allowed to be actresses, but women characters are heavily involved in Romeo and Juliet. Think about the life and roles of Juliet, Lady Capulet, and Nurse. In this essay, you will explore the women characters in this play and ultimately explain what it meant to be a woman in Shakespeare’s play.
pls /lit/ i need help. shakespeare's plays arent sexist at all. the female characters all have individual personalities, there are little to no generalities. how the fuck do i write this essay?
You should argue that the agency of the female characters was present because they were played by male actors.
>>9190715
what exactly do you mean by agency of the female characters?
>>9190718
They are responsible for their own decisions in every sense of that phrase.
Alright gents, Australian culture is fucked. We need to look back.
Who here has any knowledge of Australian literature?
I'll start off. Anyone read Xavier Herbert's "Poor Fellow My Country"?
>Primarily, it is the story of Jeremy Delacy and his illegitimate grandson Prindy in the years leading up to World War II. The novel's subject matter includes Aboriginal affairs and Australian patriotism and Australian nationalism,
Anyone have any recommendations for Australian literature both fiction, history, political theory, philosophy?
>>9190582
About we had one of these threads.
Pic related, the definitive Brisbane novel.
Non-fiction: What's Wrong with ANZAC?: The Militarisation of Australian History, a uneven collection of essays around Gallipolli and how modern politics uses this more and more for their brand of nationalism
Girt - avoid, shitty reddit humor history of Australia
Fiction:
Smashed: Australian Drinking Stories. Lucky find, very ozzie
The Shiralee - part of Penguin, it's like The Road, but less depressing and more fistfights
Greg Egan from Perth is a very well-known name in hard science fiction, your mileage may vary as he can be extremely dry
Lmao we don't fucking have any.
>tfw you realise that every single action we do is purely to benefit ourselves and that there is no such thing as selflessness and therefore no such thing as "good people" and you now don't want to make friends with anyone because you know there is no real symbiotic connection.
Any books to combat this feeling anons?
>>9190549
*person sacrifices themselves to save their child*
There is no such thing as "self serving". Actions can only serve an abstract purpose and not a vague material form.
>>9190549

Just told my relatives at the dinner table that I'm studying latin as a hobby and they laughed at me what the fuck

You should tell them about your love of anal vore.

There is no excuse for not having read his books.
actually there is, and it's that he's a charlatan. anyone who markets theirself via their "controversial" status clearly has nothing of value to offer or else they wouldn't need to do something so pathetic.

Is this site legit or not ?
I search for the books I want to read and read their reviews to know if they are shit or not but also The Hunger Games is #1 on the Best books ever list.

> The Hunger Games is #1 on the Best books ever list.
If that doesn't answer your question we can't do anything for you.
>>9190288
But some of their reviews are legit too.
It's a very nice idea to include a link to my profile on my résumé to show off how many technical books from my field I've read.
There is absolutely no other use for it.
At which point did ideology overtake substance in Western thought?
Pictured is required reading for my Literature course at University.
>>9190099
It became more prominent once the SJWs started making people be guilty of things that they didn't have control of, especially their race and gender. White guilt and male guilt are great examples of these.
>>9190099

With the rise of the novel as a form of entertainment for bourgeois
Does technical writing require any literary talent? Are all STEMfags the true masters of language?
Yes, it does actually.
Just because you're smart, or you understand science well, doesn't mean you can write.
In fact, MOST smart science types are absolutely horrific at writing. If you tell them to write a brief 10 page outline of how a car works, they'll send you a 50 page document with the first page calling you an idiot for thinking it's possible to briefly describe how a car works, then the other 49 pages will be rambling about how the natural logarithm works with electricity, interspaced with jokes nobody gets about battlestar galactica or something.
I'm not exaggerating by the way.
This is why technical writers exist. They're there to formulate dork's ideas into a coherent, easily understandable form.l
>>9190104
As a succesful STEMfag, I can tell you most actual STEMfags (at least at respectable universities) aren't usually even that into shitty sci-fi. The one who work and/or study in really good STEM departments actually tend to be pretty /lit/ when it comes to their tastes in art.
>interspaced with jokes nobody gets about battlestar galactica or something
lmao
>the other 49 pages will be rambling about how the natural logarithm works with electricity,
>tfw father found my book of axioms
>tfw came home to find him and my mom laughing in the kitchen while reading out the axioms about women
>tfw father blurted out "so, finally popped yer cherry, eh?"
>tfw my mom slapped his shoulder and told him to stop but kept laughing
Fucking normies. I'm moving out soon. This was the last straw.
You mean aphorisms, brainlet?
What's an axiom? Is it like a sonnet?
>>9189947
This. You sound like a pretentious and pompous pseud.
Axioms are the fundamental assumptions serving as the basis of a formal system - not the brief pseudo-philosophical quips of a grumpy, sexually frustrated "redpiller" (i.e. a kekpiller).
I like to verbally destroy my enemies and than ask if they ever read the Art of War lmao
>>9189853
I like to give my 'enemies' 2nd even 3rd chances.. I mean really, SECRETLY, I love them. You may think that the policy of a cuck, but I think you'd be surprised.

I like to verbally destroy Christians and then ask if they've even read the entire Bible. lmao.
Can you guys recommend me military novels?
Preferably ones that follows the perspective of commanders or people high up on the chain of command
Halo Fall of Reach
The first three novels of Legend of the Galactic Heroes have now been translated to English. They focus on the two parallel careers of high up commanders in two opposing space empires.
Junger's Storm Of Steel is a autobiographical WW1 novel, he's mostly a Leutnant.
Starship troopers
