Am I entirely fucked when it comes to writing?
>>9391637
Well probably yea, unless you describe places you know? For example that picture
>>9391637
Do some people actually experience shit like in pic relared anyway?
I can mentally understand an image in a book, but it's always in the back of my mind while I'm actually reading the words on a page. It's nowhere near the level of hallucination in OP's pic.
I've heard that some people see the scenes and images unfold in front of them as a sort of translucent screen though. Not sure whether that person was BS-ing me or not.
Maybe David Hume was right and I simply need more sensual experiences. Like how can you imagine Miss Havisham's dress if you never lived in the Victorian era and understand what dresses looked like back then? It's always going to be a dress based on your previous experience of wedding dresses.

I finished it in one night when I was 14, just start it now and you'll have it done before lunch. Then you can stop worrying about it.

Thanks bru
The whole bit at the start with her asking "are you happy?" made me pretty upset the first time I read it.
What's the best reading position?
serving comfortable to read for extended periods but not too comfortable that you fall asleep or get tired really easily.
laying down used to be my main position but as I got older it makes me fall asleep

the looming sexbot phenomenon, the idea is that we will produce machines which will service our sexual needs, when in reality we are building new life that will then use US for THEIR sexual needs
WE are the sex slaves, THEY are the future, the attitude of "well i'm getting sex out of it" is similar to the serf tilling the fields, "well, at least the lord keeps me safe"
what gives you more food for thought about morality and creation, the personal life or the political life?
attempting a self bump
>>9391515
what is personal life and political life
>>9392282
I mean something like: is politics the ultimate moral problem or is it hopeless and predictable leaving true freedom to only be achieved on an individual level? both can be true I guess. the incredible concern that has to be taken in politics could either mean for a more rich earth for morals to grow out of, or it can be a constraint, when compared to observing everyday life in front of you.
sorry if this is a bit incoherent, I just woke up from a nap.
I just realized that I don't really know many contemporary authors. What are some contemporary poets or writers that are worth reading?
