What is /lit/ reading at the moment?
Pic related. I'm about halfway through but it's pretty tough reading.
I'm always shocked by Carle's existentialist, dare I say sometimes even nihilist positions he presents in this book. In fact, the constant negativity is so draining I can't bring myself to read the book as often as I used to.
>>9463067
What? Carle presents us with a powerful image of transformation, which in my opinion is one of the most authentic and genuine affirmations of the soul in literature. We are all hungry caterpillars, but the central message is that we can all become beautiful butterflies, a metaphor for the primordial quest to achieve true enlightenment

Who is the most outstanding poet of the last 10 years?
Myself
I'd vote Anne Carson, but I don't really read a lot of contemporary poets.
I haven't read enough of them to even begin to answer that question.
Scenario, you wake up in a random new world with a class of abilities. Shooting for 100 based on resources Mana, Chakra, Soul, Instinct, and Virtue with 20 in each. If /lit rejects religion then what rules do you live your life by?
What rules are you following to determine where you end up in life and how you act?
How do you not just be some ping pong ball bouncing around in life just ending up where you end up?
it seems just following advice like be nice to people, work hard, save money isnt going to really propel you much further than wageslave.
This is some lazy bait.
This is a catholic board.

I pondered upon my inevitable death and I felt existential dread, but then I remembered, EVERYONE is going to die. Hahahaha, faggots. You're all going to die! I'm going to go play video games now.
Is this a Socrates quote?
Not only everyone will die. The entire world will disappear, mozart, hitler, Dante will be totally eresed from existenz
How do you know that mortality wont be solved by science? Imagine being the last faggot to die a natural death when everyone else gets to enjoy eternal life
Who else here /completelyalone/? Any books to help me temporarily delude myself into thinking that this loneliness is somehow a profound way of confronting my soul or other poetic shit like that? Already read Rilke, Nietzsche and Pessoa. Also, looking for book recs, so don't you dare start giving me normie advice
go outside
How are you completely alone? Can't you make internet friends?
MY diary desu~
Are there any good books that are written with only lower case letters? No punctuation or anything.
You can change any book to all lowercase. I'm kind of interested in the effect, desu.
>>9462786
The hierarchy of the text gets all messed up and you really have to work to understand the book.

I was thinking the other day that babies don't die a lot in fiction, or at least it's never described.
Can you think of anything that depicts a baby dying?

Not a survival guide, but Caveman Chemistry is quite instructive.

Robinson Crusoe. The perfect guide for you
