This board is such trash, just like /his/, /pol/, and every other shitty board on this anime faggot webzone.
What's the point of having thick and big books? Just split them into several A5 sized books and book viewership would go up.
>>9466346
wristlets when will they learn
>>9466346
>'book viewership'

Is this the final boss of literature?
Well it's not actually literature, it's theology.
It is a pretty beastly work, though. I think it's on par with the Summa.
I read Confessions expecting a saintly work, and it was Augustine complaining he loves to beat the pussy up too much, and then crying and thanking God for allowing him to not want to beat the pussy up as much anymore The City of God must be the Ozma of repressed sexuality manifesting as bumming young boys (boipu$$y ain't pu$$y).
>>9466275
yeah it's kind of sad augustine is the same as the buddha in that he was a normie who hammered vag all his life, then when he got old and his t dropped a notch, he decides to become all uptight and lecture everyone on how hammering vag is bad, it's like fuck off normie
How do I get back into habit of writing regularly? I kind of fell off the wagon due to a lack of self confidence but now that I'm trying to get back on my feet I don't feel much passion for the ideas I'm coming up with
Do it anyway.
>>9466143
how do i get myself to do it?
>>9466186
start writing
For a long time I've had this autistic "fan fiction-tier" story in my head, and for some reason I can't explain, I feel like it has to be written in physical form. I might not ever share it or even keep it after it's done, but I feel like it will keep festering in my imagination until it's been organized.
I was wondering if anyone here ever had that same compulsion at some point. Did you ever have an urge to "rewrite" any of the goofy stories you thought up when you were younger?
Tell me about them. Let your inner autist soar!
>>9466024
Yeah I write parts of it on the way to University on the bus.
>>9466067
Really? What's it about? I'm interested to hear about what sort of stuff people are writing about. I'm hesitant to share my own idea, for some reason.
I guess one of the biggest things that got me interested in writing something like this is that a couple weekends ago, I saw a friend of mine reading some stuff off FictionPress. I said that I didn't know people actually read that stuff, and a bunch of my other buddies all claimed that they did too on occasion.
They said that they liked how uninhibited and "retarded" it can get at times.
I have written huge amounts of My Little Pony fanfiction.
Is reading an annotated Iliad and Odyssey worth it? Mostly just to keep track of stuff like for example the wife of Hephaestus changing between the two poems.
>>9466017
>The wife of Hephaestus changing between poems
Proof please, sould like horse shit.
>>9466028
"And Hephaestus, the famous Lame One, made Aglaea, youngest of the Graces, his buxom wife." from Theogony of Hesiod.
Or, this one:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hephaestus#Consorts_and_children
What's more confusing is that sometimes it's described as him marrying Aglaea after divorcing Aphrodite, but the Iliad predates the Odyssey, both in plot and writing, and it is in the Iliad he is married to Aglaea.
>>9466043
I was looking for the reference in the Iliad, I know the cucking story is in the Odyssey.
pls explain metamodernism to a dumb person
>>9465877
A modernist work with postmodern techniques and devices
>>9465877
There's no such thing

Do you know of any good literary examples?
Do any of you have an epub or pdf of "Nazi Literature in the Americas"?

sorry, i dont. but thats a really good book. try a library, i checked it out from my college's library.
I do, but in spanish
I have been searching for a bit but without success poetry that deals with liberterianism or egoism. I am looking for either books or authors that preach the philosophy that is similar to that of Stirner via poetry.
I'm curious as well
>>9465786
Poetry isn't conductive to egoism due to the very method it is created by. Actually, egoism itself is unconductive to art, because all artists are constantly surrendering themselves to a higher purpose to create their works.

get out of the 19th century you dope
Are they right?
Not always, but you have to master the rules before you can break them.
If you want to write a feel good dumb dumb mediocre comedy for children then these are excellent rules, but take it from me that Dostoevski didn't follow them.
>>9465837
You are not Dostoevsky though.
novels on being homeless?
>>9465649
Hamsun, Hunger.
Not a book but "On Dumpster Diving“, by Lars Eighner is a good essay.
