Memes aside, how much does height affect passing? Is there ever a point where it's impossible to pass due to height?
while being shorter probably helps, I think you can be tall and still pass. After all, tall women exist too.
Just to give you and example, everyone in my family is really tall. There are women in my family who are 6'0".
>anything above 5'7 is nonpassing
not at all. height is not the sole determiner of whether someone passes or not. There are many people who are 5'4 who can't pass as well as some who are 5'10.
I can say I've seen examples of people who did pass as tall as 6 feet. Many mtfs around the 5'7 - 5'10 range pass just fine.
It never becomes impossible to pass but damn it gets harder. I have a friend who's 5'10" and even as an attractive cisgirl that height gives her trouble finding guys who are taller than her.
On campus I see a fair number of female students and faculty are taller than me (5'7"). No one gives them a second glance.
>if you're feminine, being tall doesn't matter
>if you look male, height is irrelevant
When you can't buy clothes off the rack in your height at target, you're probably not going to pass.
When you can't buy clothes online for your height at Target, you're in never passable territory.
I am very fond of this picture OP.
Also there is no hard-line answer to your question and height isn't something that can feasibly be changed anyway so try not to worry about it.
I'm 5'10 and I don't have too many issues with passing.
I already know the answer to this, but no amount of muscle loss will make one shorter, huh?
I guess slouching is an option. Or just never standing up ever again. Maybe I can get ran over by a bus.
No no no, don't slouch, apparently that's a good way to get clocked. Bad posture is more common in guys that girls.
superior 5'4'' master-race coming through
Im 6'1 and im stealth ^_^ it might make it a bit harder, but I can attest it's not impossible :3 I transitioned at 15 though. body porportions is more of a passing hinderence then height is imo(shoulders, rib cage, hands lack of hips) i lucked out, but it's easy to clock transgirls with man shoulders or nohips.
I'm 5'7.5, which is between the average height of men (5'9.5") and women (5'4" ) where I live.
So, passing is okay, and I have known plenty of trans women much taller than I am who have managed it.
Maybe in America. Where I'm at (the tallest region of Europe everyone always forgets) I see women around my height all the time, or like 5-ish centimeters shorter. And in heels a lot of them are taller than me on flats. So I don't really give a fuck.
I pass at 6'. As long as you have good posture and know how to "wear" your height, you'll be okay.
I would say taller than 6'2" becomes very difficult, but not impossible. It very much depends on your breadth.
The third tall region everyone always forgets about is Dinaric mountains, i.e. Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Serbia. We're never in any rankings because the rankings, at least in English, are always for "industrialized/developed" nations, which is borderline offensive. Sure there is a link between the standard of living in the country and height but there's more to it than that. US hasn't gotten any taller since ~1940s while a relatively poor region like Dinarids is like the tallest or one of the tallest in the world.
But what about the dating scene? Do normal heterosexual men hit on you, or only trannie hawks? One is less likely to shank you than the other.
Sorry, I legitimately can't tell anymore with the amount of
>I haven't instantly become a super pretty qt3.14 girl, guess I better give up on passing ever!!1!
doom and gloom posters.
>tfw man shoulders
>tfw ugly af
who here suicide watch?
6'5 here, I'm so far gone you may as well call off the watch
Unless if you're Shaq-tier you'll be fine, I'm 5'11" and pass just fine in public. People occasionally ask if I played basketball in high school or some other genetic comment on my height but that's it
Nope. If you're having trouble passing for other reasons it sure as fuck will make it more difficult, but there are huge amazon cis ladies and tiny danny devito cis dudes out there, so height alone won't make or break it.
Same height and I've heard a lot of claims about years of hrt making people shorter, but I'm not holding my breath.
Just gotta stand tall and proud. 6' is bad but we're not off the charts. At least height commands respect.
> tfw I'm 6'5 and all these people are saying they're passing at 6'0 like that's a hard thing to do
