My surgeon in the west is like this, he mainly does the penile skin lined vagina but if he doesn't think he can get the depth or there's some other issue he'll use scrotal skin to line the vagina.

It's really an individual thing that you risk, some get increased, some get decreased. As it's a major surgery with cutting and splicing of nerves and blood vessels there's only so much a surgeon can do so nothing is guaranteed. However most people are still able to orgasm post-op, if that tells you anything.

For myself the sensitivity is pretty much the same but it takes longer to climax, so like the build up is slower but the sensitivity is the same, if that makes sense. Before I'd regularly orgasm in under 2-3 minutes, in fact it was hard not to. Post-op the fastest was like 10 minutes but I was like really, really horny, and the longest like an hour.

You do have to stick with the doctors within the state. The facility I go to is in Boston its called Fenway Health. They make all those trans statistics posters you see all over tumblr, reddit, and 4chan. I was able to get my hormones in two months. I had to do an evaluation then they review all the new patients every month to see who they believe should start (mind you i didn't even dress feminine at the time at all, still looked like a full on manbear) only reason it took so long was because I needed the approval letter from my doctor which I was too lazy to get and also had to come out to my doctor too. Ended up switching to a female doctor cause i talked to the staff and they said if I did come out to the other I'd never get the approval. You can pretty much decide to take any kinds of pills as long as the doctors approve it which in this case there isn't any reason not to if you're over 18, etc. Just make sure if you do come over here you get a sweet female doctor, cause otherwise you'll be waiting a long time. Currently 19 now and almost a year of HRT under my belt.

As surgeons in the west typically do some form of penile inversion you are more than likely to NOT require hair removal pre-op. Unless you you have a really freaky hairy penis OR your surgeon thinks they cannot get sufficient depth through penile skin alone and will need to graft from the perineum or do a scrotal-inlay.

But your surgeon will be able to assess this and tell you if it's necessary or not. I was really worried about ending up with my vagina coughing up hair balls since I had some hair around the base of my penis but that part doesn't go inside. And here I am nearly a year post-op with not a second of hair removal and not a sign of hair in my vagina, not even a wisp near the entrance.
