Hey /lgbt/, I have a question.
I'm a bi 19 yr old guy who has been with girls before but never a guy. I've tried using Tinder and Grindr but none of the guys on there are what I'm really looking for. However, there are a couple of gay bars in the city centre and I was just wondering whether they are better for finding local guys than Tinder and Grindr, as I sort of assumed that all gay/ bi guys would have them. What do you think?
It depends, what are you looking for?

Worth a shot.
From what I hear gay bars tend to be filled with old sad queens and your fresh face will attract them like piranhas.
You can always keep fishing on the apps until eventually someone to your liking turns up.

Someone a similar age to me who isn't too fat, thin or muscly and has a cute face.
I think either should work out for you as long as your expectations are reasonable for your own looks and you're patient.
As for which one to choose, it depends more on you than your community. Which atmosphere are you more comfortable in?

Well, I like the 'safety' of using apps, but it's so impersonal. I want to try chatting up a guy at a bar, but the only thing is I'm in the closet and I'd be worried that I'd be seen by someone who knows me.
