A five year history of illness and some bad luck leading to a sprain, chilblains, and a broken toe before I even got to causing a stress fracture by pushing myself hard. One more break or fracture and I'm getting the full treatment of poking, prodding, and bone density scans.

If I can just get one good month of running in I shouldn't have any trouble ramping up mileage smoothly and getting the right balance with everything else.
