So I have a serious question to all the gatekeepers in the transgender community.
>Who is/or should be allowed to transition? Is gender dysphoria absolutely necessary for this?
>Should obvious non-passers and hons be prevented from transitioning, even if they have real gender dysphoria?
>Does age matter, and when is the ideal or most appropriate age to start transitioning?
>Are transgender lesbians, or so-called "transbians", not really transgender or offensive to the cis lesbian community?
>Are other non-binary and gender-queer identities not real and/or hurtful to the transgender community?

I'm a bisexual female, currently in a relationship with a guy, a very masculine one. However, I'm not sure if I can keep it going, I mean, I'd want to because I'm in love with him… But the problem is, when yeah, men do turn me on, I think they lack some kind of beauty that only women (and maybe some feminine guys) have. Men are maybe stronger, there's deffinitely something hot and luring about them, but I feel they maybe just can't exactly compete with how women are pretty, cute and aesthetically pleasing. Same goes for the sex – I only once have had it with another female, but it was just… completely different – intimate, slower, creative, beautiful, sensible, passionate and it felt like some kind of dance. It made me feel a strong bond to her and really sad when she later dumped me ;_;. But yeah. I love my boyfriend, but maybe if the relationship fails I should just decide that I'm a lesbian?

thoughts? I have never played a mass effect game and I was hoping i could with this new game but apparently all the reviews I see are that the wrting is mediocre and the characters are all ugly and it seems like they shoehorn in alot of "progressive" stuff which I can tell especially when i saw this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sndUnqX04Qs

But since im new to the series and fairly conservative I see how its so shoe horned in when you compare it to how our society works currently, but maybe shes like that because the time she is living in the technology is so much better to transition and society has already elevated to a new level so worrying about pointless shit like trannies is so petty that trans people can just be open about themselves like it doesn't matter. And the reason I feel this is because when I am not acting confident and wait a bit to tell people then I have problems, however when I am just upfront with this its seen as not a big deal and Iv'e honestly had more chances for opportunity because of it.

To summarize I think if we compare it to current society yeah its shit and shoe horned in but when you look at it with the perspective of futuristic space where you can literally come across any ugly alien, meeting a tranny just seems normal to the point its casual as fuck.

Thoughts? I did watch lets play of the first few hours and I thought it was an ok space drama although like i said I'm new to it all and Iv'e never had a huge interest in sci fi so I don't know much to compare it to. Also what's up with all the weird blue people i find them annoying and ugly as fuck but other people are like attracted to them. lol

In my experience it's based on appearance...

Frankly, women's dresses are designed for small cute girls, and look hideous on a burly man with a v-shaped body. That's why society decided in the first place that men shouldn't wear women's dresses: by definition they are women's dresses because they tend to look better on women. Not some random contrived "Hey I have an idea, let's make some clothes in this random shape, and arbitrarily decide that men can't wear them!"

In my experience, even if you're a pen0r-possessing XY-chromosomed male, if you're small and cute, and actually look nice in women's clothes and long hair (not a hon), people tend to tolerate it a lot. They're like "oh poor guy is tiny and looks like a manlet in men's clothes, but he's really cute and little in women's clothes :)". As a 5' 7" 115 lb tiny-statured male, when I grew my beautifulhair out and started wearing makeup, no one really seemed to question it. None of the crap men usually report like "Why are you wearing makeup?" and "You should cut your hair, it's getting too long." Never been harassed in the men's restroom, but lots of double takes because they think I'm a girl in the wrong restroom.

Oh queso I'd like to hear you folks' opinion on early transitioning. I'm personally of the opinion that it is good and right to allow people a chance to live the cis life before they do irreparable damage to their bodies. Some of these kids aren't old enough even to consent to sex legally. If they aren't emotionally mature enough to make decisions about whether or not they have sex, I personally don't think they have the emotional maturity to choose to transition early, either.

Of course, the other side of the argument is that if you start taking hormone blocking therapy early, you'd be able to better pass as the gender you've transitioned to.
