If having a character be gay makes them more interesting and adds to the story, thats great. If making a character black adds to the story thats great.

What do you think of the argument that having non-het characters in TV and movies helps kids who are coming to terms with their sexuality not feel like it's abnormal? Society is heteronormative (and that likely won't change) so non-hets have to come to terms with the fact they aren't 'normal' when they realize they're not straight - and seeing characters who are like them (on what, from a narrative point of view, is a very superficial and trivial level) helps reduce the impression that it's weird or abnormal since people who are like them are an accepted part of the media landscape and people in real life are less likely to be put off by it since they're already familiar with non-het people from seeing them in media

On the subject of relating with your thoughts, yes and no. I don't consider myself female but it would be weird to think I'm male since Im going through hormone therapy and having people use male pronouns makes me feel like shit.
We may not agree, but Im glad you found a place content with who/what you are.

I wish I could escape this. I have felt like a lesbian woman stuck in a man's body (cliche*) since highschool. I have been on HRT for 18 months and want SRS but the further I get the more apparent it becomes I will never really be a lesbian. (despite that I only want women, and also want to be a woman.)

What even do you do to feel better? Also as a side not if you looked like OP no one is going to treat you like a girl with tits. They will just see you as a woman.
