Yes, since the 90s. HRC is one of many organizations I've done work and contributed to annually for 17 years now.
I rarely talk about it on this board and I'm off to bed soon. But volunteering for LGBT rights is a good experience, a great way to meet other LGBT and there is still so many things left to do.
It's been 20+ years since I did any youth community work and I think it's changed a lot since those days so I can't give you details on your specific position. I'd say learn what you can from predecessors as well as various resources available online. In general for a position where you are directing youth, keeping an open mind and listening are key.

Thanks. The GSA as I understand is a nationwide standardized "chain" of high school clubs that are taking over the grassroots ones. A group of students pitched the idea and basically I would just be there to moderate. I'm not sure how much authority I'd have since that won't get finalized until August. I've used AAs for about 5 years. First spiro, then cypro. I haven't used other meds consistently. People claim my body has child like features.

I don't know if that would put me at risk of masculinizing substantially. People here claim that you can stop everything if you're over 18 and nothing consequential will happen.

teebh i used to be for gay rights before the whole sjw movement happened. I supported gay marriage. I even had a couple gay acquaintances in high school. I thought sure sexual orientation isn't that relevant.. but how wrong i was. The prevalence of trans women is because of male socialization, the same reason so many trans women are into vidya/anime/computers. We tend to be loners and nerds, because our latent femininity makes us outcasts, or at least that was my experience. That said, even with trans women included, speedrunning skews seriously male as most niche gaming communities do. Some groups like Girls on Fire are trying to make women in speedrunning more recognized (and yes, that includes trans women like Protomagicalgirl -- a rising tide lifts all boats.)
