Look, we have a high suicide rate. That much is established. It's vastly improved by a couple things- accepting environments and successful transitions. Both of those are becoming more and more common.
And don't build your identity around being trans. You'll find yourself alone if you do, and when you no longer look or sound trans, that identity will be killed and you'll be left with nothing. So make sure to be a human and develop some real interests.

I did something stupid.
A friend of mine from college who knew me pre-transition and I were hanging out. He told me two FAAB were transmen now. I first jokingly said it was a huge loss because I had a crush on one of them. After he told me about the second, I shook my head and said being trans was almost a trend these days.
The transmen in question were both huge social justice warriors in college. Neither were uncomfortable with showing their nude bodies in the student newspaper's annual naked issue. It came out of nowhere and was difficult to believe. Our campus is basically radical liberal heaven. There's no reason they wouldn't transition then, but many of the same things could be said about me.
I feel bad for being skeptical. Some of it comes from having a minor crush on one of them and also my general disdain for the male form--MtF here.
How should I stop myself from feeling this way in the future?

So I was reading r/asktransgender recently (yeah, yeah I know, Plebbit isn’t exactly well-accepted here) and someone brought up an interesting topic: how there’s other major problems going on the world such as war, hunger, and slavery, and when someone look at their problems such as gender dysphoria, transitioning, and repression, it makes them look and seem pathetic and not worth any importance compared to everything else. Personally I’ve felt this way a whole lot and I feel that my personal issues are stupid and irrelevant compared to actual important things and that I have bigger problems to deal with. Does anyone else feel this way?
