>MSBS bolt carrier
>this is the new wondergun everyone is clamoring for
I had such hopes that this would actually be a viable option, but no; SCAR still reigns supreme.
This is the production method that will be used for the MSBS because they can't mill the internals from a single piece. What's not clear is if that's because of complexity or lack of capability. I mean, in the day of 7-axis CNC mills, some companies just stick to what they've been doing for a century.
Jesus Christ it doesn't look fucking anything like a daewoo bolt. The daewoo BCG is just a chopped and modified AR BCG. You're just looking for any fucking excuse to post your Korean post-ban turd in every thread
We get it, you got a Daewoo for cheap at Cabelas. That doesn't mean you have to shoehorn it into every thread. A Daewoo bolt is just a cut down, slightly modified AR BCG. If anything, this looks more like a G36/SL8 or SCAR BCG.
They make such shitty guns, yet people still want to support them even if they did cause 7n6 to get import banned. Fuck radom, fuck tantals, fuck that shitty 9x18 pistol they make, Poland is complete shit tier.
Hey, that kinda looks like an Aug bolt
Holy shit, and I was actually looking forward to this thing. That's some taurus-tier quality right there.
mechanical engineering student here. first class was last thursday. how long till i can apply for my welding job at radom?
There is a chanel in the rail, he is probably aiming with irons.
Other than the fact that they've said they will and have been shilling it for American consumers for a couple years now while setting up a US factory/importing facility?
Nothing I guess.
Do you have Parkinsons or something. Find some fucking stability or something, jesus.
>all that spatter
>that slag stuck on everything
Clean your shit bruv. Your work is a reflection of yourself, so clean it that people will take it seriously.
Also, that looks like SMAW and the OP looks like MIG.
Technically, you're not shilling if you're promoting yourself.
I'm more annoyed that you cant clean your shit thats what actually bothers me, well that and the fact that you have apparently learned enough about welding to know the difference and reasons why someone would use MIG on a bolt as opposed to SMAW, but you still didn't bother to get any kind of stability
Also your joke was bad
welding will always be shittier than solid part.
to keep shit in spec you need more bulk to take up stress, aka heavier shit.
in addition the quality of product is harder to inspect and control, compared to cnc.
welds are shit and should be avoided
Probably because Radom has already shown the sporter version and they're almost done building their factory down in Texas.
The only thing that's shaky right now is whether or not we'll get the bullpup kit. That's entirely dependent on the Polish Military adopting it.
(Pardon my spelling mistake.)
And yea once you get the hang of that it makes everything a lot easier. Just wait till you're not in a class environment with clamps and tables.
Another random tip is to try to learn ambidextrously right from the start so that you don't get used to doing it just one way.
>OP looks like MIG
You serious Bruv? That shit's clearly TIG
And look at his stop on the right bead, how does that shit not snag?
They need to dump more filler into it and grind/machine it flush.
I haven't learned TIG ;(
I just said MIG because I know it has low heat input on the metal so it wouldn't warp the entire thing
Do you mind if I ask why you say its TIG? Is there anything specific?
>all these kids think that a bolt for a prototype is going to be pretty
fucking day/k/are plz leave
>Another random tip is to try to learn ambidextrously right from the start so that you don't get used to doing it just one way.
thats a really good idea. just like masturbating
IF this is the production bolt carrier (which it may or may not be) and the MSBS takes off, I guarantee you somebody will make an aftermarket bolt carrier for those who are willing to pay for it.
It's not tig. The diameter of the bead is too consistent (which is doable in tig too, obviously, but someone who'd produce such shitty welds would not have the consistency seen in the pic). Plus as people mentioned, mig creates a smaller heat affected zone, so less worry about distortion on pretty important part.
That said, it's fuck-ugly and only appears to be a butt weld, so I question how well a couple stringers will hold up when it's violently slamming back and forth thousands of times. Especially since it only takes one crack and the bolt carrier will beat itself apart.
My guess is it's some demo model slapped together, because no self-respecting shop, let alone a major weapons manufacturer, would release that garbage to paying customers. Though it raises the question of why in the flying fuck they allowed that specific BCG to be the one that was photographed.
Hold on guys ive been using roseta stone to work on my russian, ill translate this
>"im actually quite upset that every country that was in the warsaw pact is doing better than us and our sphere of influence size doesnt correspond with the size of our egos, so ill insult anything thats not russian"
Almost forgot, "cyka blyaat"
