Today was the first western north Carolina Meetup. We had 6 guys out in the woods, and we had a blast.
It was a 75 yard range, but I'll see what I can do to expand that distance as best as I can. We also started running out of fun things to shoot, so I'll be sure next time to have more clay pidgeons, reactive targets and some steel. I'd like to hang a gong behind the 75 yard bench.
It didn't get above 30 degrees. It even snowed a bit. If chimps didn't bring that firewood, I'm certain someone would have died.
Or we would of stopped way earlier. We were able to stay out in the woods from 10:50 to 5:50
Have this another. Chimps is shooting his krink, giddy in the back, with 2 filthy anon in the middle
For 6 dudes, we had a lot of memes
>mk26 glock brad glawk
>gidyfuck's ar15 "art"
>fnx 45 squishy squishy
>and all but 1 of chimp's aks
I might be doing it again in March
Everyone who came behaved themselves. No one gut hurt and no one died, and besides giddyfuck's shoes, I don't think we lost anything.
For anyone considering doing a meetup, meeting up for breakfast is a good idea
You get to meet in a casual, public place and talk a little bit to the people there. If you see like a massive red flag like a 300 ibls no guns talking about the penetration capability of a school bus, you can nope the fuck out. No one did that today of course, but the option is there.
shot ak's, sks's and a bunch of other guns.
shot my first ever ak and sks, while i don't think i'll convert, i have to admit, they are a lot of fun to shoot.
good time minus the lost shoes and the car crash on the way home but no damage to the car so still a really fun day.
Btw, if anyone fund some grey newbalance shoes, they are mine.
i think i left them in the red expedition so if you guys find them, email me at [email protected]
Well, maybe March.
I saw alot of great things there
For one, the strike eagle looks like a excellent scope. Being used to my leupold mk AR, I had already developed an idea of what 1x really means, but on that rifle it was really good. Nearly perfect, I shot both eyes open with issue. The reticule is okay, but the illumination was great for a cloudy day in the woods.
One anon had a stag left handed upper on a basic bitch carbine. Guys, basic bitch carbines are pretty cool. If I could of done that instead of the free float gucci thing I did, I would have more money in my pocket for guns and optics and still had an excellent rifle.
Giddy's AR was something special. The Daniel Defense rail was WAY smaller than I thought it'd be. Super thin, I understand why he had to cut his rail. Suppressors didn't actually turn me on. Which on the way hand sucks because lots of guys think they're fun, but on the other hand, I just saved $1000. Is rifle is also heavy. Super fun ar15. So really liked the Daniel Defense rails, always love shooting acogs.
I didn't do well with the fnx45. I didn't shoot it well at all, and the rmr is too small an optic. I lost the dot really easily, and when I saw it it looked so fucking big. It was weird. However I shot another 1911 today and it rocks. I really meld well this those pistols, and this one was just a $400 RIA with a Wilson trigger.
I had an awesome time, next time we need more bowling pins though, they make great targets but they go fast when you've got six people shooting at them
So the first meetup went very well, I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I will certainly host another one. Hopefully it'll be warmer.
I have a few vidoes of some the guys shooting, but I don't know how to make webms just yet. I'll post them on my YouTube, and I'll link it here. I don't want to use my business email, so I'll upload them to my shitty gaming channel. If someone is bothered by that, let me know and I'll make them into webms or make a new account.
I was pretty good about publicising it, sorry you missed it. March is a possibility for a second meetup. I want to keep the number of people below 10 until I can increase the size of my range. 6 was a perfect number to manage, and the more people I add, the more crowded things get
I want to give a big shout out to Tommy thyroid's mom and aunt.
Keeping the rifles locked up in the state troopers car when not shooting allowed for a significantly safer environment. Those smores were excellent. After talking to his will learned and reasonable aunt, I am certain I'm going to vote for Hilary Clinton this election. This tactical fedora tip is for you.
You'll have to remove the left side trunnion rivet (not the long one) and replace it with a slightly longer one to rivet the optics rail in place. Then two more holes in your receiver for two more rivets. There's also some screw on rails that require less work.
Good idea. I'm in eastern NC, didn't come this time because of the travel time. I think it's cool that you're opening up your private range to anons, especially because, ya know, semen brownies. Gotta be careful.
I did not bring anything homemade. I brought all my food from food Lion, sealed, that day.
That dude also later admitted he didn't put semen in it.
Staganon shoots my rifle
Little more than an hour. You'll drive down 85, exit of 74, pass through Shelby, then its like 25 minutes. Specific directions for the sake of opsec will be transfered through text/email
Giddy pops his ak cherry
Best bitch, but I like classy girls too
Chimps shoots the stag snowflake
It's an sks, and it was the first time he shot it. There was no point in that video where someone muzzle sweeped someone with a firearm.
We were about to do a magdump. Not everyone has gone cyclic when 2 feet away from them 5 other dudes go cyclic. And it's kinda fun and dumb. Also wanted to sorta say "don't do something extra dumb"
I actually tried like 4 times. For whatever reason, when I tried to use the draw function on the phone today, it just wouldn't play fucking ball. All of these opsec'd pics are 13 kinds of fucked, I know because I tried 13 times to make them look half decent and still conceal faces, but I'd touch one spot and it'd draw 2 centimeters off.
Also, he's still unrecognizable. Can't see eyes, hair, ears, and the picture is blurry as fuck, which is partly phone's fault, and partly the weather's fault.
Why I only shot corrosive through the krinker
Also why I'll be leaving my other cans of 7n6 sealed
But the only stoppages were in two ar15s shooting steel case after multiple mags of brass case. It's a weird issue I've never had, but then again, I shoot one or the other on a range day.
Besides, I'm the one who created the /k/ had a dream
I had a dream that posters will not be judged by the letters of their name field, but the content of their posts.
while that was lots of fun, Once Cleveland county opens up their range, Ill scout it out and see how it is. While my spot has no rules, a public range has a lot more space for us. if they aren't dicks, it might be a possibility.
i had my first round in vortex anon's gun not go fully into battery but i just used the fa and all was good.
i think it's just the extra carbon build up in the chamber from the steel case that caused some probles chambering the first round.
Yes, Timmy thyroid had his aunt and mom be there. We signed wavers and kept all the guns locked in his mom's state trooper boyfriend's car. When we wanted to shoot, we signed a gun out and donated $1 to everytown.org
did everyone leave with their guns or did that Mr fascist trooper confiscate them?
lol this is why you dont set up IRL meet ups with fellow 4channers.
Too many slime scum buckets on this site looking for prey and you'll never know who is who.
seriously bro, he was just going to check the serial numbers to make SURE none of them were stolen. anything to help stop criminals. with all the guns out there on the streets, surely gun violence must be way up
I honestly can't tell anymore who is going along the with the joke and who's serious. I'll throw this up for anyone that falls for TommyThyroid stories.
paper, reactive targets, cardboard, 1 spinner target, bowling pins, a pumpkin, clay pidgeons, and soda cans. I'm definitely going to buy some metal targets for pistol and .22 at least, because my 25m stand got tore up. yes it's a cheap pallet, but weather proofing it, transporting it, putting it together, major pain in the ass.
