Just picked up the AK today, so I got all the kids together for a group photo.

I plan on trading the surplus Hi Power and the Sig Mosquito for a Colt Peacemaker in 22lr with a .22 magnum cylinder. Which gives me an excuse to grab another 9mm. Im thinking either a WC 92G compact or a Sig P229 Legion.

I honestly don't think that would happen. If they're gonna take our gun rights away it will be slowly through regulation and taxation making it prohibitively expensive and too many hoops to jump through. Hopefully we'll be grandfathered in, but if it comes down to it, I can't really say what would happen until I get the knock on my door.

I'd been interested in 10mm even as a nogunz, but wasn't thrilled about any guns chambered for it.
years ago I made a list of features I'd want in a 10mm pistol, and when sig came out with one that literally checked all the boxes I pretty much had to get one.

black coated stainless frame and slide
single action only
frame mounted safety
slim single stack grip
able to accept wood grips
picatinny rail
night sights
5"+ barrel
durable enough for a steady diet of full power ammo

the grip is great, especially with the nill wood panels.
the trigger is great, bit more take up than my other pistols on account of the firing pin block but a crisp break and no over travel.
it's very accurate.

honestly what underwhelmed me was the 10mm itself. I guess I was expecting a more substantial boom from a gun that was too much for the FBI to handle.

It's been a few years since I last contributed. I've more than doubled in the past year, it may be time to slow down.

Fudd gun is a Winchester 72, I haven't seen another in the wild. It's older than the legislation requiring serials, so that's nice.

Too bad you got the one with proprietary target sights and you can't put rear night sights on it without there being a weird vacant cut-out on top of the slide (or maybe at all). I think I'd get about the same gun as you have except for that one feature. I like target sights on certain guns, but this would be my woods defense gun. This is the one situation where night sights are absolutely critical for me.

I actually put my Glock 20 up for sale on Armslist this weekend and had a buyer lined up, with the intent of selling it and buying a P220 10mm with the proceeds (plus a little cash), but in the end I just couldn't go through with it. The capacity really kills the deal for me. Only 8 rounds in the P220 magazine makes it not competitive with the Glock 20. I'd have to buy all new holsters and spend a lot of time getting acquainted with the gun before carrying it. On the other hand, the Glock 20 is, very surprisingly for a Glock, not a reliable gun. I've had more jams with it than any other pistol I own - and I'm going on my second one now. The first one had the same problems and I thought I'd just gotten a lemon. I keep telling myself that I just need to find a bullet/load combination that the gun likes, but it's frustrating.

Try it in a lighter polymer gun like a Glock 20 or 29, and make sure you're using "full power" (I think it really should be referred to as +P) loads, like Underwood, Buffalo Bore or Double Tap.

Newfriend here, want to start a collection. I've got a friend into guns and he's helping me.

So far all I have a Savage Model 11 in .308. What else should I get? He's helping me with a pistol and shotgun but I'm sure there's more than just those three for "must-haves". At least, I want more than three.

the front sight glows in the dark anyway. I'll eventually replace the rear one.

I'm not a fan of the plastic frame or fat grip of glocks, but am surprised to hear it jams a lot.
I've not put more than a few hundred rounds through the P220, buffalo bore, hornady, hpr, armscor, but never had a hiccup.

I'm more a revolver guy anyway, capacity never bothered me except the 3 rounds of the Winchester 70, but I recently corrected that.

I don't think the FBI was shooting glocks. pretty sure it was all steel guns like the Bren or S&W

It was the Smith and Wesson 1006 or 1076, can't remember one. The gun used for the testing was personally owned by one of the agents in charge of the testing.

The funny thing about the 10/22 and t3 summit stocks was that I didn't really want either but got a great deal and I don't think they look bad. But the t3 I wanted one of the red, white and blue USA shooting stocks. I want to take the barrel band off the 10/22 but the stock is nice and I don't know.

I like mine. Got it for $750 at a pawnshop, it fits tight and the mags stay in there nice and tight.

I had some mag related jams but other than that its a fun gun to buy. Read up about them and make sure yours is either post recall or fixed. Price on yours?

No a p22 target that I broke the "compensator" I had a a2 flash thingy around so I put it on and it works better. Maybe all mental but whatever.
