I'd take a hot shit AR over a hot shit AK any day of the week.

Realistically, hot shit ARs are far easier to come by - they just demand a lot more money. Not to mention they have a very high compatibility rate with spare parts.

Hot shit AKs are practically unobtainable because the top top top ones are kept safely in Russia. And really, you can only get an Arsenal or some parts kit so far. Not to mention on milled AKs, it's a total craps shoot trying to get parts to fit in there since there's no magical tech specs like there are with an AR. Need a new bolt or carrier for your milled AK? Good luck - better hope the shit is under warranty.
