>>28865775 Why are you all shitposting assholes both on the net and irl? How many giant spiders have you seen? Do you think the Tasmanian Tiger is still alive? Why do you hate tourists? Are you embarrassed over the emu war? Are you a continent or a country? Don't say both, pick one. Who would win in a fight a salty vs a komodo dragon? Do you people like Steve Irwin nearly as much as we do?
>>28865861 For fun. Quite a few. White tailed spider ran over my balls the other day. Better than coffee for waking up. They're still going, barely. They tend to get a lot of face cancers. We don't. That never happened. Well, we are both. The entire continent is one country. Salty, easy. Not really. He's a funny satirical dude, not serious.
>>28865938 The biggest one's usually aren't dangerous. They're kinda slow and most of the time not venomous. Tiny ones straight up can't get through your skin. Medium sized ones can be aggressive cunts and I don't fancy necrosis on my ballsack and nerve damage on my knob.
>>28865999 There was also vegemite chocolate for a time. >>28866004 No, I mean I see the guys, but I've never seen their guns. Maybe I've always been on the wrong side or something. I've seen the bottom of the handle of something but that might've been a tazer or something.
>>28866177 It's not the same with cars or chainsaws. They're tools more than weapons. They can be used to kill but it's not their purpose. The only reason guns are around is to kill things. There's probably also a little bit of not trusting myself. Like that thing in your brain when you're on a high place and it's really easy to jump. It'd be really easy to just jump just like it would be to shoot someone.
>>28866184 >The only reason guns are around is to kill things What's wrong with that? Sometimes killing is absolutely necessary.
This is even if we ignore the obvious uses for pest control and hunting (remember, feral cats kill 75 million native animals per night).
The fact is that we don't live in a utopia, and violence does exist in the world. Since there's a very real (albeit small) possibility that you could have to defend yourself against a potentially lethal threat, it makes sense that you would want the most effective means available.
But if you think that the only thing stopping you from committing suicide or murdering someone is owning a gun, please go and see a psychologist. Your mental health is very important.
>>28866197 I can agree with most of that. I still don't feel comfortable with something that can kill so easily. I feel like it's too easy to misuse. And I acknowledge that one day, maybe, I'm going to need a gun to save my life. Sorry if I can't put this into words very well. Maybe it is just me having mental issues, but guns don't make me feel safer.
>>28866284 If you're worried, I'll give you a simple guide about how to be completely safe even if I'm a turborapist.
>Email me with a throwaway, don't use your own email >Don't give me your name until you've talked to me a bit, and then only first names (or give me a fake name, idgaf) >Meet me inside the range >Which is a public place which usually has at least 20 people there
>>28866300 That's pretty rude mang. I'd say I'm closer to the "nuke the middle east" side than "love everyone #safespace". Just cause I don't agree with you doesn't mean that I embody everything you hate.
How often do you face trouble going about your day? Any places near where you live that are sketchy or known for trouble? How are the people in your neighborhood and how do they treat any issues the country has?
It's the middle of the night and you're driving down a desolate stretch of road. Suddenly, your headlights catch several abos walking on the shoulder. If you run them down nobody will ever know. Do you do it?
>>28866539 >How often do you face trouble going about your day? Pretty much never. A little common sense and caution goes a long way. >Any places near where you live that are sketchy or known for trouble? There are bad elements of any area. >How are the people in your neighborhood and how do they treat any issues the country has? That's a pretty general question, care to specify? >>28866550 No, they'll ding my car. Instead I give them a ride to my evil lair and put them in the unnecessarily slow dipping machine where they will be consumed by genetically engineered sea bass.
>>28866539 Not OP, but Sydney Ausfag. >How often do you face trouble going about your day? None. Any places near where you live that are sketchy or known for trouble? A few, but the cops are very good How are the people in your neighborhood and how do they treat any issues the country has? Nice, mostly families, Asian and white. Any issues are dealt with by complaints via letters to the local mp, social media protests, and occasionally physical protests. The govt usually pays attention to them.
How DO you really feel about the gun control issue there? To this day I still often feel like it gets thrown around down there to draw attention away from bigger issues. If you had opportunity for a larger variety of firearms, what would you get?
>>28866197 australian laws say that the only times you are ever allowed to use a gun to defend yourself is if the person attacking you is also using a gun. something about using equal force for defense because reasons
>>28866689 the gun control here while annoying to get through is good, i like it teaches you how to not be retarded and holds you accountable for everything you do. do wish i could just but a semi-auto FAL without having to get a fuckton of licences and shit
>>28866699 fun fact, there's damn near no gun deaths in the US as well
>deaths by shooting in 2013 in the US (includes police shootings, homicides, suicides, and accidental shootings): 33,169
total motor vehicle deaths 2013: 33,804
If we just boil it down to points when someone took a gun and pointed it at another person and pulled the trigger with the intent to hurt or kill them (still includes the good guys shooting the bad guys!): 11,208
total deaths by ANY sort of accidental cause in the US in 2013: 130,557
The highest percentage of gun deaths in any year are by suicide.
You are more likely to accidentally poison yourself than to be the victim of a gun homicide.
>>28866228 You haven't ever seen someone kill somebody with a chair, or piano wire, or a car, or seen someone crushed by a crane falling over, or even by prescription medication, or dying in a fist fight, or harming themselves with power tools, or electrocuting themselves, or catching themselves on fire, or any million and a half other ways to die that are awful and terrible.
Guns aren't even nearly as bad as pools. Have you ever seen the death rate comparison? I don't have a link to the statistics right now though. Anyone else for stuff like this? Brb, checking
