pretty sure MSRP is like 425 new

i was freshly 21 and stupid
>>
Every time I buy retail
>>
>>28852061
I've paid over $100 for a nugget before, before Sandy Hook. Feels bad man. But, this is in California and it was an m28/30 and an m39 respectively.
>>
Faggot pawn shop on Jewbroker once sold me an FN 1905 that had a bore like a sewer pipe but never disclaimed it. Shitty thing is, I overpaid for it like an idiot, thinking that because the outside of the gun looked near-pristine, the inside would look pristine too. Obviously, I should have asked about the bore before buying (I always do now), but they also had a responsibility to disclaim such a blatant material defect. Fuckers wouldn't accept an exchange either.
>>
>>28852061
At this point people are expecting this.
>$600 M48.
'Nuff said.
>>
I bought a fake pu sniper when I was 17 for 700 dollars, still have it.
>>
>>28852061
I paid an Indian man 200 bucks to replace my phone nonfunctioing screen once.

I could have probably bought the part myself and done the repair myself, but honestly I didn't know what was really wrong with it and wanted it fixed that same day.

Still, happens to everyone atleast once. All it is is a learning experience
>>
This most recent Se/k/ret Santa event.
Thanks, Johnson!
>>
>>28852210
Damn. Those are worth, $400
>>
>>28852061
I bought a bottle of Faber Castell Cobalt Blue fountain pen ink.
It's $30 a bottle, and shittier than any other blue i've ever tried.
>>
>>28852705
>Johnson

you deserved it,

he's the poorest of the poorfags

>Go to gunshow with grandpa
>Find a cheap single shot 20ga for $75
>All my guns were gifts from my grandpa
>been wanting to buy one for myself, but poor
>get excited, a gun I can afford
>buy it
>take it home ~45 minutes away
>try to dry fire it
>fucking broke, can't cock, couldn't tell because dealer had zip ties in all the guns to prevent people from working the action
>gun show was closed, didn't remember the name of the dealer
I was so fucking pissed.
>>
>>28852061
>Ever been ripped off, scammed, or burned by a bad purchase /k/?

I bought a Bora BR99 AR style shotgun for $400. The price was decent, but the gun had a damaged feedramp I didn't know about. It was a three second fix, but I still felt burned.

I regret buying the gun, but it works fine.
>>
I bought a wood sks handguard off ebay, restoring a nice russian sks to its pretapco glory.
When it showed up it wouldn't fit, because the asshole had slathered a YUGO sks handguard with brown lacquer, and neglected pics of the underside where it wasn't coated.

I sent him an angry shame-on-you email, and he tried to give me a refund but I said no I'm keeping this piece of shit to remind me people like him were out there. I didn't tell him I also hate the post office.
>>
>>28852967
>2015+1
>NOT using noodler's ink for all your ink needs

it's like you enjoy not having fraudproof ink
>>
I bought a large Bad Dragon Rex, almost 200. Regretted it, since the real thing is so much better.

>>
>>28853052
I'm still fucking pissed I bought a bottle of Green Marine and Habanero only a couple DAYS before they announced they were bringing back the glass bottles.
>>
>>28853074
you funny senpai.
where else on the chan do people talk about inks?
>>
>>28852967
>>28853052
>>28853074
>>28853111
Dunno if y'all know this, but just look at PR's Burgundy Mist ink. Literally the best red i've ever seen.
>>
>>28853064
Wait.....how would you know?
>>
>>28853113
Very rarely /g/ has a fountain pen thread.
>>
>>28853111
>>28853052
Favorite inks? All I've tried so far is X-feather and I want to branch out.

Also scammed: some guy in New Orleans wouldn't bugger off after he walked up and started shining my shoes until I gave him a couple dollars. I really should have just told him to fuck off.
>>
>>28853113
Are you in China?

>Got a 10/22 for my first gun around a year and a half ago
>order some uncle mikes QD sling swivels
>order a USGI sling
>turns out that I ordered sling swivels for bolt actions instead

I still haven't gotten around to installing a sling on my raifu
>>
bought a piece of gear that I thought looked useful
it was nowhere as useful as I thought it was
it was also huge
>>

what? no.
>>
>>28853138
>All I've tried so far is X-feather and I want to branch out
>X-Feather
Awww shit son. Good ink, but viscous as hell. You'll notice a major difference in writing as any start-up issues you have with X-Feather are going to disappear almost completely.
Good inks are Noodler's Green Marine, Private Reserve American Blue, and Private Reserve Burgundy Mist.
PR Black Cherry looks nice, but it clogs up nibs easily.
Also, Noodler's ink generally smell like cherry yogurt, which is nice.
>>
I purchased Combat Strength Training, Pat Mac's training ebook.

Never received the email link. I've emailed through the website and got no response.

It's been a good couple of weeks now so I think I'm gonna have to do a paypal dispute of the charges.
>>
>>28853138
only one I have real experience with is quink and noodlers aircorp blue black, which is more of a green black. it's nice, a good change from the millions of plain blue blacks out there.
>>
>>28853170
Looked so much smaller in the photos.
>>
>>28853138
Stopped at Saint Martin's once, and some black dudes came up and took pictures of me with a monkey they carried with them, and charged me for it.
Only a couple bucks, but god fucking dammit. Never trust a man with a monkey

When I first got into guns I paid $1200 for a Desert Eagle .5o. I got to the range, bought ammo, and when I went to load it discovered it was airsoft. It was a private sale and I didn't have the guys real name or email address.

Almost

>See Yugo Mauser for sale online
>Condition described as "used"
>Think "Well, only 250 CHF so why not?"
>Reserve it.
>Thinking of paying and having it delievered to my house
>Decide to check it out personally
>See that shit on the stock

Can you see the problem /k/?

They are still selling this shit as used when it's fucking broken.
>>
>>28852061
I traded my mosin, half a spam can and $300 for an original century cetme. Its a great shooter actually, but the buttstock was loose and as of now I've spent $45 in getting the proper parts (bolt, nut, buffer, end cap with recoil spring) when I could have just bought a complete green G3 stock set with endcap/recoil spring for much less. A little irritating because someone had used wood screws to attach the CETME stock to a G3 endcap. Also the receiver rails are dimpled and I believe that is due to the G3 end cap as well
>>
keltec - su16c and sub2k. both had major issues and they wouldnt warranty them.

sig sauer - bought a sig 716 and the railed gas block was badly canted. they wouldnt take it back either because im the second owner and i didnt keep the receipt.

rra - ordered one of their carbines and it came with a strange scratchy matte black finish like something ive never seen before. they said it wasnt an issue and they couldnt find any problems. Its like literally scratchy house-paint tier. no fucking idea what the finish is even.
>>
>>28852061
Back before I knew prices and such I bought a gsg522 with 3 mags. I paid 350 for it used and its probably worth about 250. Meh, live and learn.

I bought a tac force knife, it broke while I was cutting chocolate, then the blade snapped when removing bb from shoe.
>>
>>28852205
Damn, and I thought paying $350 for mine was bad.

>young and stupid and bought on impulse before doing more research
>>
>>28852220
That's not a rip off.
>>
Paid $700 for a wasr during the sandy hookening. Had to have it right the fuck now for some reason.
>>
Buying Glocks at retail prices.

They're good, but not $600 good.
>>
>>28855164
It's not? I swear I've seen replacement screens for phones go for like 20 bucks online.

Why it cost so much to repair a phone?
>>
>>28855171
I paid $350 for a stripped Rock river arms lower after sandy hook

Wasrs are $600 now and stripped lowers are $50. You came out better than I did
>>
>>28855385
Because the process of repair is work intensive.
>>
>>28852061
A dindu named Kelvin Jerome Durham in SC listed a PSL for sale for $600. As a naive 18yo I sent him a money order because he claimed to be in the Air Force and was stationed overseas, so his brother would accept the money.

Turned out the kid had a record already and ended up with Federal charges,
>>
>>28852061
Had a MP5 clone that I traded for a Steyr Scout, .308 JC edition.

We met at an FFL to run both guns. Both came back no issues. We swap and go about our business. About a month later, I get a call from the police that my new rifle was stolen. Have to give it back. Out of my MP5 clone. Probably lost 1800-2200 in the deal.

No recourse except to sue the guy, as he traded 'in good faith', so he isn't being charged. The fact that the police said his trade was in good faith would also make my civil suit probably fail.

FUCK IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL.

It broke after I tried to open a cardboard box with it.

There's no way anyone is this stupid.

Paid 550 for a used and worn CZ 75B from a tripfag, but it was worth it because I had just turned 21 and was out of my home state and it was a private sale.

>>
>>28855839
That is why you sold it already.

Well what exactly happened, and what phone was it? Samsungs are a bitch and a half to fix.
>>
I got a $90 SKS with a decent bore, but I found out later that the front sight post was stuck in position, I don't know how to get it to move even with the proper tool. Hazards of running out on your 18th birthday with the intent of coming home with a rifle in your hands.
>>
i bought an Inter Ordinance ak.
>>
>>28852061
i bought a fobus jew holster, it was absolute garbage

i also bought 4 fake m1a magazines. luckily ebay got me my money back

Literally every Jack in the Box I've ever eaten at has gotten my order wrong. This is not an exaggeration. I don't customize SHIT or ask for substitutes or anything, literally straight off the menu so they only have to hit the correct combo number on their computer, a single button push. And they give me lip when I call them on it. Also they never give me something more expensive than what I ordered.
>order a Spicy Sriracha combo, which after tax is almost $8
>get a single taco and a fistful of ranch cups, worth $2.07 after tax
Also the one closest to my house gets shut down by the cops nearly monthly because someones' dealing weed out of the drivethrough window, and despite supposedly being a 24hr place they're frequently not open between midnight and 9am because they can't keep overnight employees at minimum wage.
>>

Funk Ammo (or Miami Gun Smith). I bought two 10/30 magazines for my AK and they got lost in the mail. Oh well, shit happens. I contacted the post office and they said only the shipper can claim a refund. So I told Funk about this through multiple emails and they never responded. I'll never buy from them again. I buy all my 10/30's from Jestice Arms now.
