Are there any real life oper8tors on /k/? SAS, FFL, MARSOC, Green Berets, etc? Wannabes we have a lot, we just need to open gear threads but real life ones I highly doubt it.
There was a roo shootin legionaire on here a while back who jumped into Mali and provided a massive pic dump, probably close to a hundred photos. It was awesome. Probably one of the best threads I've ever seen on here. Complete with FAMAS /k/ timestamp photos. To say OP delivered would have been an understatement. Had a buddy who was a medic in a Ranger bat who used to browse regularly, not sure if he ever posted. There's probably a few.
About a year back there was a no shit mercenary posting from his time off in China. Dude operated in Africa, not with a blackwater type company, but a small mercenary group. That was a great thread
>mfw nobody knows what a SOT-A
>mfw they find out and get called a pog anyway
I know an 18A who lurks, and I'm pretty sure Ricky was confirmed as legit. I was an FO in the 101st, making me pretty much a demigod among most of you fags and tards.
So that's three of us, you bitches.
>Be inna stan 2k15
>Be doing KLE with Afghan Commandos
>Kick in doors, clear compounds
>Ghans spy with their little eyes this Talibs hash stash
>All the ghans sit and smoke hash, what is perimeter security.
Afghan Special Forces are competent, Afghan Commandos are absolutely useless.
>Are there any real life oper8tors on /k/?
Of course, but very few of them bring it up. There's always the ones who post for self-aggrandizing purposes, putting the lie to the notion of the "quiet professional" but for the most part they post anonymously and don't mention what they do/did in any event.
Then, of course, is the likelihood that 90% of the "operators", even the ones who post pictures are eventually proven to be fakers who are just seeking validation from anon.
As a commo sergeant its easier for me to skate on bullshit. Not saying the job itself is, just that it gives leeway to.
I met a SERE washout once. Complete shit head. >>28849510
>tfw stuck in shitty afsc and wanna go inna TACP
Easy to use your job to get out of bullshit.
For instance: Team Sgt will be like "Hey you and ______ take the ghans down to the range and run firing drills. "Can't boss I gotta switch out the crytpo on team wide comms" Noone knows your job, life is easy.
May we have some verification that you are 18E?
Nope. Believe me or don't. Doesn't matter to me.
No idea, I'm an 18X baby. Talk to your retention NCO Id assume.
Comm/Nav Avionics. Thought hard about it, idk if I wanna go officer or just reenlist. I don't know how different it is officer wise.
I'm 11b. Got accepted to ranger school then my unit deployed. So I missed ranger school.and when I got back in decided fuck it. Now I'm in some shitty reserve chemical unit finishing my contract out or killing myself. Whichever comes first.
I know how to operate a forklift. Does that count?
I feel like there might be some qualified people on this board but they usually keep quiet because they don't want to be called a liar or they don't want to be associated with those Blackwater chucklefucks running around Iraq with a GoPro mounted on every piece of their gear.
Not saying it is. but every time I mention it on /k/ someone says
>HURR DURRR SUPER ELITE KILLER. POST PROOF YOU SAW COMBAT FAGGOT POG POST DD214 and CIB FAGGOT
like, you really think there aren't a bunch of infantry queers who saw combat in a decade long war? They act like they can't fathom there is infantry guys on /k/
>implying us 11bros aren't aspy spergs though
A lot of the controversy behind Blackwater was pretty serious, but I feel like a lot of people misuse the term and use it to describe PMC activities, when in reality, any decent PMC is professional and quiet as fuck.
I know in the past before the were doxed we had a reaper pilot, 2 f22 pilots, a pj, some kiowa and black hawk pilots.
I know 4 majors (all old roommates /class mates) that drop in on k. One is a tanker, two are engineers(sapper tabbed) one is a medical officer.
Oppenheimer is a nuke secret squirl.
What is this about high test
Is what they do seriously so hard that people with lower test can't even physically do it? What does their schedule look like?
I imagined you just had to be really fucking fit to do it, with a ton of endurance training under your belt. That puts a little dent in my dream to be a 1337 oper8r one day desu.
>Is what they do seriously so hard that people with lower test can't even physically do it?
No we are talking about guys that are already in. We all do gear to stay in top shape.
During selection / courses you cant really be on gear but use it to lead up to it. if your in Army and going to try go for SF, you WILL be using gear. Most if not all infantry are on gear at some point.
So you pretty much have to take gear to get in there then? Are there any natty operators?
Are you not so officially encouraged to take gear while serving in the SF or something then? How many of them really take it?
>So you pretty much have to take gear to get in there then?
No, but between training with your unit, training for SF selection and field its hard to get in shape fast enough. Your unit wont let you just train for SF and leave you alone.
>Are there any natty operators?
I suppose so? I dont know any though. The job takes its toll on your body and it's the best way to recover and get fighting fit.
>Are you not so officially encouraged to take gear while serving in the SF or something then?
Docs will prescribe it or your rank just encourage it. Its not taboo in the Army.
>How many of them really take it?
All of them.
My RSM was fucking huge and always said he wished they used it in his day in the regiment. Its just the norm now, less injuries is a good thing.
ill just copy and paste what i posted in the other thread
i was in 2nd recon for like 4 years
dont join the marines. even marsoc is supposedly gay as fuck and has to do stupid shit for hq all the time
one time we literally watched somali pirates take a boat from our lhc despite having vbss training and certex
Is it really not taboo even in big army? Maween here, definitely a 'MAWEEEN KOW ORDERS SAY NO TEUFEL NOW IT WOULD BEHOOVE YOU... TO EAT ANOTHER MRE! YOU DONT NEED IT IF IT ISNT ISSUED TO YOU'. *holsters gay ass knife hand* Also obviously illegal, though im sure the problem is negligible. Or are people using legal prohormones? Obviously they've got to have some bang on post cycle therapy either way.
I'd be interested in any resources for healthy gear usage ala SF types. I'm into besting my level of fitness from when I was in by far (wasnt in tier -2 shape and not going back in, that's for sure, but I miss the god pump) but I have grown weary of surfing much of the bullshit. Just lookin for another perspective.
check this out
yeah yeah, say what you will about vice but seems to show some truth
also it gave us this awesome guy, who can argue with this logic?
He's a /fit/ crossover bullshitting you and justifying steroid usage.
He's very likely not in or has ever been in the military either.
Remember, you're on 4chan:
>The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.
Does that mean it doesn't happen? No, it's not that uncommon and there are people within units that do it, and just as many who get dropped because of it. The same as people who have gotten dropped when weed came up in their system, prescription drugs, even amphetamines (yes, really, it happens more than you would think).
It's not encouraged by leadership and you will get canned if you get caught with it in your system or in your possession the same as you would with anything else prohibited or illegal. The misnomer that "OPERATORS" get free passes and winks and nods on things like this is so wrong it's painful because in actuality it's the exact opposite.
SOCOM and parent branches (especially the Navy) have invested a huge amount of money into recruiting and hiring professional sports coaches, dietitians, and physiatrists over the last decade+.
TL;DR Stop reading 4chan, fix your diet, and start exercising smarter.
Yeah I've seen it before, that documentary and some shit i've seen on here is why I asked the question
I wish Vice would go back to making decent shit instead of the garbage they shit out now, the show on HBO wasn't too bad I guess, it seems Vice News produces decent content though, i dont know, hit or miss i guess
also, what is it about these people culture that makes them such shitty scum? it seems like the middle east and south america are filled to the brim with corruption and scum
Lol mate you have no fucking idea.
Go join an Infantry unit and you will see drugs for days. No one gives a fuck.
You think they really employ "professional sports coaches, dietitians, and physiatrists"
No dickhead they use PTI's for all that shit. You think you walk into Army and they have the best of the best people there to service you? they use the lowest cost "professionals".
Have you been outside your room and seen tier 1 and 2 soldiers?
Unike >>28853865 this cockbag I actually operated for years in the Army.
Maybe its different in the US Army seeing as your cucked by the Navy, but I met many rangers and delta personnel and they ran gear also.
Don't you get it?
They treat Americans as occupants, not just occupants - but people from civilization that is their enemy since forever.
Why should they feel bad about steeling and lying to Americans?
It makes as much sense, as if asking the Polish during WW2, why do they lie and trick German occupant.
The only thing that would stop those people from acting like that, was if they ware forcibly turned to Christianity - make them members of our civilisation.
Which will never happen because political correctness and all that stupid shit.
>guy running around talking about big boy rules and throwing slang "gear" around and talking about his time "operating" with tier 9001 navey ragnar delta seals and shitposting what the fuck did you say to me you little bitch? on korean caligraphy board
>guy stating the actual military policies
iunno. seems pretty obvious to me. then again you could just wait and ask ricky who basically said the same thing before. do it at your own risk and dont talk about it.
I remember there being a Ranger which was a cool guy.
There is the Israeli LOTAR guy, which is top tire operator.
A friend of mine in special forces unit used to come here, but I don't think he ever ended up posting anything.
I take no bragging rights for that, but myself almost got to be in an SAS/Delta equivalent unit until I got injured.
I dont know if your some master troll.
Are you saying every one in the Army follow the same set of rules?
Every one serving is a good boy who never does anything wrong or different?
Every soldier is exactly the same?
Biggest question is. HAVE YOU EVER EVEN SERVED YOU SHIT CUNT?
I was an 0311 that took contact multiple times and got my CAR with a side of shrapnel as a souvenir.
But I wasn't special forces so I didn't operate like cool 18 (15-17) year olds getting Special Forces contracts!
Yeah I get that, but I have a feeling even if we weren't occupying them theyd still be fucking kids and screwing over someone else
That thought came across when I was watching Generation Kill and one of the browns asked for statues of Bush, made me think maybe if we created a puppy and tried to change the culture might have turned out better, but then other countries would be pissed/would also want to start invading countries for land grabs
They are savages, they don't think like civilized men.
In order to think like a civilized person, you'd have to come from civilization. They don't. :)
If you live under harsh conditions, you don't have any higher values, you only think about how to make your own life better.
Only a few have gone mainstream, all for reasons.
Chris kyles kill count
Marcus Lutrells failed mission
Mark Owen or whatever his alias is for morealess proving the news wrong on bin laden.
They all had a way to make easy money, and are trained to think extremely highly of themselves to begin with.
Anabolic steroids. Interestingly not the first time I've heard of SF using it to maintain mass with their insane ops tempo and operating inna wilderness/trashcanistan with shit food.
>Here I am
>I'm doin' everything I can
>Owing it all to what I am
>Pretending I'm a commo man
may I interest you in some boots friend
Well you get selected at 12yo based on your scout rating and grades, then every sunday you get to wake your ass up at 3am and go do drills, study theory and marching
There is a lot of fucking marching
Then at 15 you get classified as a specialist depending on which specialty you get selected for you get supplementary training (I had comms so lots of physics, computers and languages)
At 17 you start doing the actual training, long marches, going innawoods and covering yourself in shit
If you do really well in the academics portion you also get pilot and tank training (minimal shit, single engine and t55 only for me)
One guy in my platoon dropped a packed and passed selection, now he's balls deep in the Q course
Just gotta get that packet together and submit it. They can't deny you going to selection
>corner cutting gear users
jesus, get some fucking will power, you fucking faggots
Nah you're the pussy. Not using tools because of some dumb ideological shit? WTF? That, is some pathetic shit.
A spread of opinions, but I personally would trust surgicalcric over 'muh hard work' faggots. When you want to take your training cycle into an overtraining phase there is a place for them. Their use is nuanced. There is not a place for doing anything blindly and irrationally because of feelings about fair play and hard work. That is some gay shit. You are the person lots of people (not all drug users) are ashamed of serving along side.
