My girlfriend just got a new place and her new roommate gave me all this shit from the "previous roommate" who was apperently in the Air Force. what does /k/ think of my new toys?
Holy crap dude, that's a lot of uniforms, some look new. Sell that shit on eBay for real camo or cash. New stuff, even with no tags, can fetch a good price to turds/wannabes/airmen that lost that one piece of gear haha.
> Had to buy a $250 throat cover for armor before deployment.
yeah. I think I got like 10 trousers and 3 light jackets. also these bad motherfuckers
Good haul. Jackets and pants are going for like $20-30 each. The cold weather is at least double that.
Nigga you crazy. For the basic jacket and pants he's looking at maybe $300 (spread out over a while, they won't sell in a day). Don't get me wrong, he is looking at some good, free money in his future, but $700 is way too much.
Personally I'd keep the wet weather gear as secondary for spouse/gf/roommate or leave on car as emergency cover. It's Very well made, I still use my wind jacket when camping.
Nothing like changing a tire in a rain storm.
Yeah, ex Army here, some of the ECWCS gear is like $300+ a piece, so yeah...there is way more than $700 hahah. Don't rush selling it and it could be over a grand. Top/bottom uniforms, unused, can go for some $150, though I mostly look at multicam/marpat+ types and ACUs back in the day.
Where are you seeing them for $400? Also, if you can't legally buy them as a civilian, eBay will take down the listing, for future reference.
Keep in mind, there are a million different listings for ABU's, so you'd have to see the ones that have sold and base your price off of those.
Collectors never buy that shit, so you're looking at airsofters and the like (which isn't a bad thing, they usually pay stupid amounts of money for worthless stuff).
The cold weather gear might retail for that much but it certainly doesn't sell for that price off base. Some of the shit you got is alright, but I'm not seeing 700 unless you find some real suckers.
and yeah. I wondering if it's even legal for me to have this shit kinda
There's nothing to worry about with the clothes. The mask, however, may get you into some trouble if you try to sell it. I don't know for sure, but I've heard of listings getting pulled for certain modern American gas masks.
I wouldn't sell that anyway. probably put it in my shitty little bug out bag
lastly I also got these like rubber boots and gloves. what are they for?
>$60 for a set of basic bitch abu's
I don't think so m8. Pants go for 20, unless they're size large+ jackets for 15-20
I've been sitting on 5 jackets in medium for 8 months for $15. Not a single one sold.
ok. there were woodland color cover all looking things but I left them behind. they were all torn to hell and back and beyond repair. as far as the matching jacket. my girlfriends roommate kept that as a winter jacket.. Also, in the washing machine is a beanie hat, some winter gloves, socks and brand new pairs of underwear
still. I mainly just wanted the parka because my old 60s era flight jacket got stolen at the bar and I needed a new one. the rest of the shit was just included so I really can't complain
On the subject of girls, I may be close to having a gf to take to the range.
A girl at work remembered something about me months later. She also smiles when i talk to her or just see her. One time she initiated conversation.
To be honest I know it is cliché and I am a giant dork but I have imagined our life together almost every day I see her.
Am I good to go?
not joke just looking for advice here where there is no shame (anonymous)
I have our first dance as husbando and wife planned to a T
every twirl, dip, and shy glance into her eyes, i turn away quickly and blush, but work the courage to kiss her
>stationed at Minot
>5 minutes from Dakota outerwear
>Commander bans their cold weather gear
>Gen2 fleece and APECS windbreaker only
>fuck you Colonel
>get stationed in Thule
>day 1 get issued parka and pants from Dakota Outerwear
>MFW that shit kept me warm all day erry day
I think I have some pics of wearing it in GL if y'all want
Lol it was like that when I was at malmstrom.
>chefs, FMs, maintainers, wing safety got warm parkas, winter boots, etc.
>the ones who spent all their time outside (the cops, I was SET/CAT at the time) had to make do with shitty gore tex and their beret and a beanie if you were out in the field and QC didn't happen to be low crawling up to the site to fuck you over for being inside the truck
>talking shit for literally no reason because some guys like the free shit OP found
Fucking epic, you guys aren't the reason civs irrationaly hate servicemen at all
If you can manage to both not be an autist and ask her out at the same time, there might be hope for you.
OP Here, I do remove all of every emblem including the little airforce one. I'm not a dick. I don't care for the designed either, but they're cheaper than buying hunting clothes and when I do wear them in public everyone asks if I'm in AF.
side note to everyone else is I am in fact off to meps next month for navy. going into firefighting
