Is this real /k/? It seems like satire
>>
Also general knife thread
>>
>>28733949
It is obviously a satirical statement
>>
No.

It's no different than stabbing someone with a spear, rought iron gate, or just repatedly with a normal knife.
>>
seems real, but you should check your state law before trying to buy one
>"Knife used 100% for killing"
>>
>>28734110
>>28734065
I figured it was bullshit but wasnt 100%
>>
>>28733949
it's all just a cover for using the sheath as a dildo in secret.
>>
>>28733949

Jagdkommando is the Austria SF. Just googled some obscure Austrian army forums and yes. That information seems to be correct. Its based on a 15th century "armor-cracker" dagger.

>"creates a highly interesting damage canal on soft tissue."
>>
>>28734310
But wouldnt it just be easy to stop the bleeding till you got a chance to do surgery since its just a puncture wound?
>>
>>28734336

Well from what I interpreted, a normal dagger creates a straight puncture wound. This damages more tissue internally, by essentially shredding the tissue and therefore creating more bleeding, due to surface are and vesicle damage...

Something along those lines.
>>
>>28734336

Internal bleeding is the problem. That's hard as fuck to fix if the wound is crazy and shit.
>>
>>28734336
Yes and no. Since the blade doesn't twist as it punctures you're looking at great deal of internal damage from the curve of the blade. The same reason a galvanized nail holds better than a common nail - the twist digs into whatever it's driven into.

The downside is there's a much larger effort involved in stabbing soft tissue compared to a flat blade.
>>
And I forgot to add: Apparently it IS the Austrian Jagdkommando's battle dagger and it costs 800.

In case you guys dont know Austria's Tier 1.

>Deadliest knife ever.

I think the deadliest knife ever would be barbed and the handle packed with explosives that detonate when someone tries to remove it.
>>
>>28733949
Doesn't this literally violate the Geneva convention?
Specifically the articles that ban blades with more than two edges?
>>
Absolutely, those holes in the blade help trap the target's soul.
>>
>>28735696
You mean the articles that don't exist?
>>
>>28734439
>battle dagger
god damnit EU
we're depending on you to be the tripwire for the Russians, don't be like this
>>
>>28735696
mistaking Geneva with Hague conventions
Geneva mostly deals with POWs and treatment of defeated countries as opposed to the Hague conventions which outlines the rules of war iirc

> depending on Euros to fight

Somebody hasn't been paying attention.
>>
>>28733949
More of a proof of concept/curio than an actual use piece. As evidenced by the screw in sheath which is better for protecting the item but absolute ass for actual use.

It takes some extremely complex and precise machining and very skilled hand finishing to make & sharpen a 3 edged blade whose edges spiral around an axis.
>>
>>28733949
I would say that it's a true statement, but you can achieve the same effect with a nigger knife (broken beer bottle) or any myriad of things that are inexpensive/improvised. As for if it's real marketing or somebody making a funny it's hard to tell.
>>
>>28734336
boy you couldnt be more wrong
>>
>$900 railroad spike
>>
>>28734391
Fluted nail, galvanized is just the coating nig nog of dumbness
>>
>>28735876
not fight... just be the trip wire dumbass
>>
Im always reminded of slaughter house 5.
Tampon in wound?
Kind of makes the utilitary side of a knife difficult. Id rather carry a small clip on knife and have an extra BCG or ammo
>>
google trench knife used in ww1
>>
My only complaint is adding that useless clip on the side of the sheathe. Makes insertion very uncomfortable.
>>
>>28736536
For you....
>Insertion
Uncomfortable you say....
Theatricality and deception are powerful agents to the uninitiated... but we are initiated, aren't we Bruce?

>what is a celox/quikclot granule syringe?
>>
You people are dumb as fuck. Look at the design. It's like a piercing needle. It's going to work, because there is going to be a cylinder of skin missing. It's really close to ww1 trench knife as well.

actually those pyramid shaped long blades in WW2 (that got banned in the geneva code) caused unstitchable wounds so its possible this blade can do the same.
>>
>>28736903
>unstitchable
this is so very wrong
see >>28736776
>>

Contemporaneously unstitchable.
>>
>>28736933
ok true
modern day, it's a relatively unimpressive knife, though

I feel like a WASP knife would be a better choice.
>>
>>28736917
To be fair, those aren't exactly stitching a wound together with thread. We've done some pretty wonderful things with science, so don't let me shit on >>28736776, but technically, in the most grammar-nazi sense, he is a bit right.
>>
>>28736976

Stabbing someone with this would be fucking brutal holy shit.

Is a WASP knife more effective underwater because of the pressure ? Or would it still fuck your shit up, you know, aside from the whole getting stabbed part.
>>
>>28737033
If anything it would be less effective under water because you have the water pressure pushing against the CO2 canister pressure
>>
>>28737033
800psi would swell the wound cavity and freeze it regardless. It would fuck you up. Ballistic tests look like .44magnum wounds or worse
>>
>>28737048
Less effectivethan underwater, but more effective than just stabbing
>>
>>28737066
*Less affective underwater, but more affective than just stabbing shit.
>>
>>28737073
>affective
*effective, you were right the first time.
>>
>>28734492
Or a knife that automagically killed anybody, thing or group that you think about with the intent to kill. Like a Death Note but not a scam.
>>
>>28733949
Just looking at that thing makes me physically uncomfortable. Both the idea of getting stabbed by it, and the idea of what an utter mall-ninja barftastic poser piece of shit it is. The two are not necessarily contradictory.
>>
>>28734336
>wouldnt it just be easy to stop the bleeding

you would think so, but that shit just keeps coming out
>>
>>28735937

This.

Even if you get, say, shanked by a prison knife, any damage to internal organs requires some amount of surgery.

Thus, it takes a surgical team to close the wound.
>>
>>28737161
God I hope somebody stabs you with it.
>>
>>28733949
Ive read that those trench knives stab wounds are pretty difficult to stitch up- So yes this is "evil" knife.

>one evil knife
I hear it comes with a 30 caliber magazine clip and a shoulder thing that goes up, too. Thing's meant for baby killing
>>
seems like an updated version of the medieval Misericord dagger used to murder armoured knights by slipping it into the gaps where the protection was lacking, like the neck, armpit or groin.
>>
>>28735876
>>28735793

The Austrian army is a joke, but their SF and their overall fallback plan is literally all about retreating into the Alps, in case of Russian invasion.
>>
>>28737536

Austria fag here, as I posted yesterday, it is indeed based on this design.
>>
>>28736181
Except this one has defined aesthetics plus a fancy name.
>>
>>28737048
But it would be very efective and commicql to see the diver you just stabbed rocket to the surface when you hit the button, and then he has to deal with decompression sickness and is out if the fight quicker than on land.
>>
>>28736181
tastes better because it costs more. the Pepperidge Farm effect.
>>
>>28734492
...and covered with explosive diarrhea
>>
>>28734492
There is that compression knife thing for sharks.
Fires an air cartridge or something when it stabs, tearing through the wound
>>
It's just a rondel... cept shorter and probably doesn't penetrate as well, because its profile is so thick.
>>
>>28734110
It's wrought*
