When fighting a moving target should you be moving also to decrease hit probability or standing still to increase your hit probability? I suppose this also changes as a function of their weapon, your weapon, range and angle of depression/elevation from a target.
Move to advantageous position. If this includes some sort of covering fire, the hit probability is less important than the move.
Once in an advantageous position, stop and try to increase hit probability.
depends on the opponent i'd imagine
if your target uses and trains/practices with firearms regularly then moving to cover asap seems like the best idea
if your target is pic related you could probably drop to a knee and shoot center of mass if you can do it quickly, eventually his wild spraying might hit you so either shoot him now or get to cover
So how have you enjoyed the four or five weeks you've been shitting up the board newfag.
Someone pulls out a handgun and points it at you, you have yours out and ready to go. What do you think would be more beneficial standing there still and both putting holes in each other or diving, maybe missing one or two, but saving yourself perhaps several?
The most beneficial thing to do would be to shoot the fucked until he stops moving.
Watch some security camera footage of shootings. They're usually over pretty quickly, and at short range, where your ducking and weaving isn't going to help for shit.
depends, if the gunfight is in an enclosed space scenario with no more than 30yds of engagement, yet the space is full of covers, any hi cap semi auto pistol with spare mags seems more reasonable for the average joe than;
a shotgun (lenght capacity, recoil, spread and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
a rifle (lenght, quick aquiring targets and EEEEEEEEEEEE)
