What appeals to you in terms of gun aesthetics, /k/?
Also what doesn't appeal to you/totally puts you off?
Something's weird about this Thompson, and it's not the jaggies.
As for me, I really like things that look utilitarian to a fault.
Recently I've been really digging the 80's cop weapons, but really
>what is beauty?
I don't know. I like what I like.
These are pretty
These are ugly
Specifically a mossberg 590A1 with the heat shield and wood furniture. I'm gonna get one and do exactly this to it.
wood, anything coldwar or WWII era
most two-tones are a major turnoff, as is FDE/desert tan
Funfact; also Leon's pistol in RE2. I love this gun.
i'm fond of plain machines ostensibly built for war. worn finishes also get me pretty hard.
>Metal + Plastic for the future look
>Metal + Metal for the industrial look
>Metal + Wood for the classical look
>Matching furniture for the coordinated look
>Really mismatched furniture for the nigger-rigged look
I know those display boxes!
Seriously if any of you are in Springfield, Mass, the old armory museum is a candy land of weird, rare shit
Here, have one of my favorites from one of my visits there. Lever action revolver with a gas seal basically, in cap and ball. if anyone made a repro, I would be on that shit so hard
People say its ugly but im a fan
I think glocks look great, I actually really appreciate their aesthetics. I'm also a huge ptr and ak fag, so anything that looks like those makes my pee pee tingle.
I don't really like newer guns, not that I don't like some, just the designs seem to really lack creativity. I miss the all full steel guns from prior to 1980s ish.
>mix of FDE and black
>forestocks with built-in vertical grips (like the AK foregrips)
>Kel-Tec waffle iron furniture
>really long beavertails on 1911s
Wow, nice dubs man i really want to be like you alot
Pic related is me when i think about you
Not a grumpy old man or anything, I got like an AR with stuff on it, but the fuckin whole "funny shaped plastic shell" thing they do kinda annoys me.
Like that weird smg thing you're supposed to put the glock in.
I'm not against smgs, but like that thing is obviously designed to appeal to certain aesthetics as opposed as material and cost practicality.
or stuff like mx8, fn2k, beretta storm, magpul's pdr, etc...
spacegun aesthetics basically
I mean it's FINE, i'm not like saying they shouldn't be sold, or people shouldn't buy them, I just personally don't like that style.
I like the practical looking ones, also kinda like wood, but wood's not a must. I think like the M1928, BAR, ball/cap revolvers, various slavic guns (for some reason, with slavic guns, they HAVE to be wood, and then I love them, but like a slav gun with NO wood on it just turns me off, it's weird; like dick grips and bakelite mags I'm down with, but the AN94 just looks meh to me.)
I like the ones I get to shoot
wood grips like pic related make my dick diamonds.
Keymod is fugly IMHO though
Isn't that the thing on the shoulder that goes up?
This one is sooo pretty, it's a shame I will probably never touch an as val let alone own one
I like rifles with a full stock.
Everything about Skullface's mare's leg is pure sex. The bone handle, the patina on the metal, the EXTREMELY short barrel, it's perfect.
Black/Olive drab two tone
Clear/Smoke gray/translucent brown magazines
Rails on pistols
Flat finishes on pistols
I like scopes and mannlicher stocks on hunting rifles, and wood grips on handguns.
On ARs I like low profile gasblocks and modular rail systems that extend past the gas block, but not all the way down to the fucking muzzle.
On AKs I like wood foregrips and the triangle sidefolder stocks.
>makes me rock hard
Custom stocks with rare/special wood that look beautiful (pic related)
old military rifles and their history
older steel frame handguns
wood AR furniture, though retro A1 style plasic is great too
>makes me flaccid
plastic fantastic handguns, with a few notable exceptions)
500$ shitty AKs
rails on revolvers, looking at you Shit & Wesson
wooden furniture in general
weapons that look like they came out of 1870-1945
i'm really boring, sorry.
Scout rifle configurations, very long and thin looking scopes like that one M1903 model or some you see on revolvers, even those little 10 dollar ones you can buy for bb guns.
Wood+rails when done nicely pretty much gives me the biggest boner ever, and things like the Ares SCR with a wooden stock are just beautiful.
that timeless aesthetic thats almost modern/minimalist but has a hint of old school class and beauty.
The FN FAL is a great example of this aesthetic.
The Whitney Pistol is a perfect example of this
Also not related to weapons, but Lucas Oil Stadium is a good example of this in architecture
>What appeals to you in terms of gun aesthetics, /k/?
Pretty much any ak that is not a standard one chambered in 762x39. The magazine angle kills the boner for me.
The ak-74 styles like arsenals are an exception, they have other things that make up for it like the 74 style brake.
