I dunno I mean they carry little to no ammo, never use modern material and their mechanisms are still just hammer and chamber. usually shunning those swag polycarbonate semi-autos with 12 rounds for the "classics"
>>28665288 With a revolver for self defense you have to practice and be able to hit with the first shot. Most new gun fags want 14 in the mag and one in the pipe. That way they can spray and pray and maybe get lucky with a hit.
>>28665271 What is the hate for the Hi Power? it's literally the easiest gun for me to disassemble and it reliable as fuck. It's like people who bitch about Glocks. They work great and they aren't flashy. How the fuck is that fedora?
I swear it's like nogunz are the biggest faggots. Bigger fags than the gay down low action that /pol/ and /lgbt/ has.
>>28665251 I love my Detective Special. One of my favorite snub noses. Beautiful piece of hardware. They don't make them like that anymore. It's only fedora if you put some mythical bullshit about it. I just like mine because the nice Colt Royal Blue on it and that it shoots pretty well for a gun made almost 50 years ago. Just don't run plus P in it too much and you're golden.
The Hi-Power is for suit-clad betafags who want to LARP as noir detectives, but can't afford a 1911 and/or aren't man enough to handle a 45.
Expect them to sperg on and on about "muh gentleman's sidearm", "muh most widely used service pistol in human history", "muh superior locking mechanism copied by most modern-day designs" et cetera when defending their heavy-ass old gats with unreachable thumb safeties and trying-to-drag-a-bag-of-cement-up-the-stairs-tier trigger pulls.
>>28665251 That's muskets and ball cap revolvers; obsolete antiques of a bygone age. Modern revolvers at least have the benefit of being chambered in magnum calibers for generally low prices that help deal with large, uncooperative beasts.
People who are way too into milsurp reek of fedora/neckbeard syndrome. For example: the faggot who will sit here and argue with you about how the mosin nagant is the greatest rifle of all time and cites ww2 and shit. People who pick up their mosin and somehow feel connected to the battle of stalingrad or whatever. Also, people who wear gorka suits.
>>28668815 I own one and I just like it because it's essentially an updated version of the 1911 for a a higher capacity. I love having a 15 round mag in mine. The only issue I have is the magazine disconnect but once you remove that it's solid. I don't think mine is a gentleman's gun but more of a great platform for all steel 9mm. Not a big fan of polymer guns because I prefer the weight of solid metal.
I think the only real fedora weapon is the katana.
>>28674849 Pics of them? Would love too own either of those two personally, getting a smith and Wesson soon (like new model 49 chrome) was thinking about a SP 101 for my next gun, how is that gun to you?
Of course the Fedora is an outdated design. It came from an era when headwear was designed to be tipped, not to avoid gentlemanly conversation lawsuits. It came from an era where it was the norm to learn how your m’ladys operated and to practice being a gentleman until it became second nature, not to design the headwear to the lowest common denominator. It came from an era in which our country tried to supply its gentlemen with the best garments possible, unlike today, when our non-euphoric men and women are issued headware that was adopted because of international deal-making or the fact that the factory is in some well-connected God believers district. Yes, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the Fedora IS an outdated design… and that’s exactly why I tip it.
>>28674895 It took a bit of getting used to shooting .357 out of that small gun. I gotta put the front sight post about halfway over the rear sights to shoot straight which was my biggest issue when I first got it. 5-shot cylinder, shiny nickel finish... I enjoy it alot, even if the trigger's a bit heavy but I suppose that's a good thing on a carry gun. I'm at school so no pics. And my brother's got the S&W 19 a few states over so I can't show that either. Sorry, bud.
>>28668815 I own a Hi Power. It's nice. I enjoy shooting it. I also own a P220, so covers my .45 base and I'm not big on 1911s. But I mean, go ahead and try to project onto everyone who likes something that you don't like.
>>28670611 Because this guy's a broke fag who couldn't afford a Hi-Power and so he spouts off the meme shit like a sour grapes faggot.
I own a Hi-Power. It's fun to shoot and I like a single-action 9mm that has an all metal frame. Just personal preference but since everyone else has gone to polymer frames it was my first choice when looking for a new 9mm.
It does look sexy but that's because Browning knew how to design a weapon really well.
>>28665251 >Doesn't understand the concept of a fedoralord Fedora's are NEET's anon, they're disgusting fat/emaciated neckbeards who buy some cheap $10 dollar hat from the local walmart from a time when all men wore them (not because they were classy, but because that was just the most common fashion of the time) and wear with with a XXXL (regardless of obese or hungry skellington status) T-shirt believing it makes them classy because "muh better time, rampant gang activity and economic depression? What's that?"
Revolvers on the other hand actually cost money and have plenty of use as self defense, completion, and potentially even hunting guns, outside of the lowest Taurus build they'll set you back for a good handgun in a decent but not exactly 9mm-tier inexpensive cartridge (>Buying a revolver in anything other than magnum calibers).
Taking that into account, the real fedora of the gun world is the Mosin Nagant, a cheap $150 rifle that reminds neckbeards of a time when "men were men" (aka, the dregs of society who were handed rifles and told to go clean up after the front line guys, when all they really did was mass rape) and believe that walking into the local gunstore and grabbing one will somehow make them just like their fantasies of what those men were like because they believe all their actual problems can be fixed with a single purchase.
>>28678153 It's cool, heard of you get a trigger job on a Ruger revolver it's the perfect revolver. One question: you think I should get a sp 101? Any other revolvers I should consider before that? I was also thinking of getting one of those charter arms .44 specials classic.
