If I don't have the parts or drawings, take the dimensions I do know (width of the receiver rails, ejector location, placement of the recoil spring) and fill in the blanks. I'm probably going to have it 3D printed to test everything is correct.

Wood's metal has gallium which will chew the fuck out of aluminum so steel receivers only or wrap an aluminum very well before casting. Not sure why you would bother when 99% of the time the post and customs are trained to recognize the shape of complete guns so you probably don't even need to do anything but strip it and hide it with a bunch of tools

STENs are hilariously easy. I built mine with a dremel and welder, with little metal working experience. It came out janky as fuck, but a working semi-auto 9mm carbine for like $300. It would have been even easier to build it full auto. I definitely don't have a full auto size tube and original bolt laying around, though

If you've never welded before you'll want someone who knows how to teach you and some scrap metal to practice on. It's not hard at all, it's just there's some technique to doing it properly
