I don't really see what is "snake oil" about a side charging AR. There is nothing fraudulent or falsely claimed about what they do. The charging handle has now been moved to the side. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it not a charging handle on the side of the rifle.
Fuck off retard faggot
You keep using that word... I don't think you know what it means.
Beside they already have drop in side charging handles
Ok, I'll bite.. this right here and basically anything else made by surefire.
ITT: people who have no idea whatsoever what snake oil means
I'm sure you guys have some well thought out reasons as to why these items are somehow bullshit tier products.
I'd say anti roll pins are snake oil for the most part unless you have a F/A AR and/or constantly go out to shoot a fuck ton of rounds
The biggest upgrade in semi-auto ARs from anti walk pins are the stronger pins when using centerfire pistol caliber blowback carriers (ie 9mm ARs). They have a lot more force applied via the ramp to the hammer to assist in retarding blowback which beats up the hammer pin.
easy BATF, don't shoot a dog.
It's obviously neither at the moment, it's some version of art. But in all probability the firearm "normally" remains in it's pistol form outside of the occasional "what would it look like?" So basically your a fuckboi and it's a goddamn sponge getting succ
Here have breakfast on me.
not that anon but you're 100% retarded if you think a crime wasnt committed in that picture assuming he doesnt have a tax stamp
with that said im not sure why /k/ spurgs out about things like this. unless you live in a shit hole, is it really that hard to believe someone paid $200 and filled out some paperwork to get a sbr?
I have one of these, it's alright.
I bought it after noticing that I was often naturally holding my rifle at a similar angle, with my hand half on the handguard and half on the vertical grip, and the AFG is a comfy way of supporting the same hand position.
> i have never used black or green follower
Your post is literally utterly false majority of my magazine have green amd black follower and they never failed for over 10k rounds in between them.
I really, really wonder if the ATF would be able to fuck you over if you have a normal AR with a 16" barrel and a Pistol AR with a short barrel.
They could fly the 'constructive intent' or 'constructive possession' even if you have both uppers on their respective lowers.
How do you buy this stuff when enlisted and/or deployed? Will they confiscate it if they see it?
What is the military's general attitude towards aftermarket accessories? What is allowed, and what isn't?
...make holding the gun more comfortable?
Are you retarded?
how hard is this?
>make the bullets look more deadly
>designed specifically for female defence against sex offenders!
because regular softpoints don't cut it!
perfect* for fictional creatures!
(*we have no clue how this is even supposed increase the effectiveness of that or anything)
>"a product, policy, etc. of little real worth or value that is promoted as the solution to a problem."
>because regular soft points don't cut it!
>what are regular downloaded rounds
do you see that part where the pink tips solve nothing, bring nothing new to the table and only exist to sell more expensive bullets to suckers?
The pink rubber tip is to denote a portion of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. It's a gimmick, not snake oil.
>only exist to sell more expensive bullets to suckers
More expensive than what? FMJ? Hornady's JHP is usually cheaper than other brands AND usually comes with 25 rounds instead of 20
>nobody has posted this yet
In the Old West, "doctors" would sell a magic cure-all potion to retarded people in small towns.
Think Red Dead Redemption, people would buy it to cure everything from STD's to cancers, and some were sold as "snake oils". They were some bullshit elixir that did nothing.
>why is /k/ retards
Does this surprise you?
People have been selling snake oil as a "cure all" for hundreds of years. In 1917, someone actually tested a brand called "Stanley's Snake Oil", and it was found to contain no actual snake oil, just a bunch of random common shit. The guy was sued and "snake oil" became synonymous with fraudulent cures and miracle products.
A good example of snake oil in the gun industry would be Jesse James' whacky ass suppressor he started advertising a few years back. He wouldn't let anyone test it, but guaranteed it lowered an AR-15's report to 78dB... which is lower than the sound of just the gun cycling. He also claimed it produced NO heat signature, and boosted velocity by 100m/s.
Pic of Jesse James' magical wonder-suppressor
I vaguely remember some Jesse James retard shit 1911 and AR on /k/ a few years ago.
Is that shit still happening? How is he not dead in the water? Does he just have too much money to fail, so he just keeps going?
It's literally vegetable oil. Not really "snake oil" though, as they never made specific claims about what it was made of, and it apparently works well.
All his shit is either vaporware, or nobody is stupid enough to buy it. Either way I've never or heard of anyone who's gotten their hands on his products.
Mags, entirely depends on your XO.
Most entirely don't give a shit and do actually tell you to pick up 10 or so magpuls before you're sent over. other accessories are assigned as desired.
These things are totally legit on AR Pistols, since you cant have a VFG.
Not sure I'd run one on a rifle vs. a VFG but they sure make pistols more comfortable to shoot vs. just grabbing on to the rail.
Mounted on This.
like literally any faggot that owns a gun on this board or in life in general would ever fucking find themselves in a situation that would require an AR for home defense.
Not saying it won't happen, but you have better odds of having a fatal heart attack than someone breaking into your house or getting into a shootout in public
