>bought an ar over a mosin for my first gun last year >missed the boat on cheap mosins >now missed the boat on cheap 54r >mfw realize what cheap fun I've been missing out on when I tried some guy's m44 >the only gun that gave me a wide shit eating grin when shooting >mfw don't even enjoy shooting my ar that much
funny thing is that its not, and there are a whole fucking bunch of places that ATT works where cricket does not, not to mention being able to walk into an ATT store to take care of a problem and not having to deal with a line of 50 niggers pretending to have had their phone stolen because they didnt pay their bill.
I mean, when the phone store has to have an armed fucking security guard you may need to think about switching carriers
>>28639014 Not that faggot, but I have some Advanced plan they offered a few months ago to get people to sign up with. It's basically the Pro plan with double the gigs. The beauty with Cricket though, is that after you've hit your cap, you're just throttled, not charged a billion dollars a MB or outright cut off. It's all unlimited data.
I live in the boonies on the east coast and from my underground basement can call my brother in California's central coast with Crystal clear call quality. That being said, lets not shit up this thread with shilling for cricket. If you want to use another carrier do as you please.
>>28639060 Cricket is legit dude. You can buy a phone at Gamestop and get it activated right there. I have had 0 issues with it.
>>28639051 >literal autist to use a major carrier Or...travel outside the continental US and expect your phone to work at all. Which most "literal autists" will never do outside of on a kiddie leash with anti-scratch mittens while being shepherded by their parents.
THAT is why the major carriers are still in business. They have deals with foreign carriers to not have insane charges for using a US phone to place a call from, say, Paris.
this demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of how mobile networks operate on a technological level.
for the benefit of those of you who dont have a knowledgeable history of the telecom industry I can sum it up in one sentence.
Its ALL AT&T.
Seriously, its all one huge network.
the limiting factors are tower radio type (CDMA VS GSM, which isnt really an issue now that most phones from major companies are multiband), server space, and legal/monetary agreements between carriers.
What you really pay for with the larger contract carriers is customer service, ease of access, and not being artificially limited by the carrier (ie network slow downs, dropped calls, throttling, etc).
I backpacked thru Europe before smartphones were even a big thing and had 0 issue finding a place with WIFI wherever I went. Used an iPod to talk to people whenever I needed to and to book hostels. Went thru
>>28639123 >lets not shill for cricket >immediately proceeds to shill for cricket
I have ATT and my GF had cricket, we were in Allegheny National Forest on a back country trail about 15 miles from the dirt road we took to get in, I had 4G LTE and she had zero coverage, not even phone.
the thing is that Cricket CONTRACTS to run their phones on the AT&T network because AT&T acquired cricket, and AT&T still runs it like a partially owned subsidiary (probably for tax reasons)
They advertise heavily that its the AT&T network, but what they dont say that coverage will be artificially limited in certain areas where AT&Ts coverage agreements with that areas local telecom supplier doesnt include the AT&T subsidiary
Also the farther away you get from metro/urban areas the less likely you are to have availability to an actual network retailer.
while that may not seem like a big deal, its absolutely crucial if you're having network problems and you rely on your phone for work.
A personal exampe of this is that last month AT&T was having some severe network issues and I was getting dropped calls and couldnt access the internet from my phone while I was mobile. This problem persisted for a good portion of the day and was really setting me back, I saw an AT&T store and went in to bitch, I was taken care of in under 15 minutes and the rep there replaced my sim and hand my phone up and running. The rep showed me a live map of the problem areas and explained exactly what was going on. Granted I could make more sense and gain a little more use from the info than john q average because of my background, but the information was there and available for me to have
You just arent going to get that kind of service or network knowledge at cricket.
but hey, if you want to know how to file a false police report to get the insurance to cover a new phon Im sure the cricket rep could talk you thru it
>>28639014 Cricket is best MVNO in the US been with them since they were AIO. I've got my bill down to $20/month for unlimited talk/text/data (2.5GB of highspeed). It BLOWS Tmo out of the water because you get access to a bigger aftermarket of phones (AT&T everywhere) and you actually have a fucking signal.
Idk , I have Tmobile and it's 100 a month for me and my wife for unlimited talk , text , 4G lte , 5gb of Hotspot. Not to bad since we don't have Internet right now and we use our phones for all our streaming.
>>28638921 Get a better paying job or negotiate for higher wages at their current one, stop throwing money away on rent and actually buy a house, and don't have children. Life is actually pretty simple, just don't do expensive shit if you aren't loaded. I don't see how people can't understand this.
Check out Project Fi from Google for cheap 4G service, they back credit any data you don,'t use to your next bill. Service is 43/month for 2 gigabytes of data and it logs intok any WiFi hotspots nearby automatically to transfer data for free over a VPN, saving your data plan.
It does require the purchase of one of three nexus phones, however.
