PA bros get in here. We state of emergency now.
Prepare your kits for snow operations. Prepare to operate inna blizzard
Johnstown fag here. I have my black powder stump extraction tools ready for the super fun snow storm coming. I can't wait for the snow to come down. I'm pumped. We got 3 to 4 inches in the last 24 hours, it's glorious.
>mfw in western NY
>mfw probably gonna miss put on blizzard cuz it'll all dump on you guys or in the coast.
>Mfw I can't go shooting in fuckhueg drifts of snow
We had a bunch of Lake effect snow the past week but I want more.
Nothing is better than shooting in the snow.
Shooting a sporting clays coarse saturday, god I hope it snows
>We state of emergency now
Which means no open carry without a LTCF.
§ 6107. Prohibited conduct during emergency.
(a) General rule.--No person shall carry a firearm upon the public streets or upon any public property during an emergency proclaimed by a State or municipal governmental executive unless that person is:
(1) Actively engaged in a defense of that person's life or property from peril or threat.
(2) Licensed to carry firearms under section 6109 (relating to licenses) or is exempt from licensing under section 6106(b) (relating to firearms not to be carried without a license).
MFW I took the day off tommorow and I'll get to be hyper comfy tonight as I sip coffee with a big fire going and reload .45 brass in between rounds of CS:GO.
York County, reporting in. Bring on the snow!
I'm a Colorado transplant living in Media and think you are all a bunch of silly faggots for freaking out over a foot of snow.
You should try some western freedom on for size. Drinking laws are shit here and there's nowhere to shoot or hike/camp worth a damn that isn't 4 hours away. Western PA seems pretty neat but Eastern PA is shit.
You don't have to be an alcoholic to hate the liquor laws here. The laws here are fucking retarded.
>bars sell singles, six and 12 packs
>can't sell over a certain amount of combined fluid ounces though, gotta go to a beverage distributor for that
>beverage distributor can't sell cold beer
>stacks of warm beer and soda everywhere
>state liquor stores
Pretty much on par with Utah.
Some places in PA see temps from -10 to 95+ F during the year. We get a lot of ice during the winter (generally), so the roads are covered in salt, calcium chloride, and whatever other ice-melting chemicals out there. This causes a lot of potholes, plus makes your car rust out pretty quickly.
Many of the roads are 'stacked' on each other as well, like it's common to have a concrete "first" road, and then multiple layers of asphalt road on top, as the layer underneath wears. This kind of messes up the road foundation a bit, water gets in and the road cracks, etc; so eventually they remove the *entire* road and simply re-do everything from scratch, but that costs money, so more often than not they just keep laying down asphalt stacks and call it a day.
PennDOT is also kind of shit-tier when it comes to overall work efficiency, It took 10 years for them to finish a 2 mile section of highway near my house.
All this combined make for very bad roads.
I'd love to be able to buy beer in a gas station like every other state.
In return you get 'normal' gun laws compared to what NJ, NY, and other NE states deal with. Only minus is no shooting on public lands unless hunting, due to stupid law written 15+ years ago 'for teh chilren'
>You don't have to be an alcoholic to hate the liquor laws here. The laws here are fucking retarded.
>>beverage distributor can't sell cold beer
I don't know where in PA you live but if your distributor told you that, they are just being a jew. I live in central PA and can buy beer cold at the distributor all day long.
Firearms are our right. I find alcohol disgusting. There is no benefit to drinking it. If people talk about legalizing fucking weed they will probably be open to changing alcohol laws
And these people have seen snow before, it's not like they are southerners that have never experienced it before.
>Grow up outside Cleveland
>5 months of heavy winter every year growing up
>every year the moronic population forgets that snow will be coming or exists in the first place during the summer
>winter rolls around
>every dipshit on the road forgets how to drive
>Haven't had snow in years
>Cannot imagine the change in logistics or anything because of that
Philly fag here, work weekend nights as a nurse. Fucking hate working when it's snowing. Not so much getting around because I got a truck with decent tires but the fact I'd rather be up in the Poconos pretending SHTF and dipping into my whisky/MRE stock pile while shooting snow balls off my deck.
Plus the dumb women never show up so I end up staying way after my shift
I understand that. I really, really don't want to work at the gun shop and range this Saturday. Between my two jobs, it is 20 days of consecutive work, and that's no fun. The few dollars I won't make aren't worth it either.
Still, if this all turns out to be nothing, and we both go into work, I'll still stop down at your shop and say 'hi' on my way in.
I'm not a robot
I lived in Virginia during "snowmageddon" and the roads were comparable, if not better, than Denver roads. Only me and a guy from Idaho showed up to work because we weren't informed that the business was closed due to the snow, it was supposed to be a given. We both drove old ass accords with shitty tires btw. Ended up going shooting instead.
I'm not in the effected area, but this winter all of the snow in my area came at once and people freaked out as if this isn't a yearly occurrence that doesn't generally hinder travel or anything else for more than a day, if that.
>Mfw america is getting our version of winter
>Enjoy the south they said.
