There's this thing called the NFA that's basically a list of firearms and firearm accessories that are restricted from the public. Dealer samples are cheaper because they can only go to an sot. There isn't a huge market for them and they can only be sold to military or law enforcement.

Essentially because the market for them is so mich smaller, the demand isn't there like it is for civilian transferrable weapons.
