Depends what your willing to spend. I could give you a list of /k/ approved manufactures. But to be frank; if you want a glove without shelling out a bunch of shekels, yeah Mechanix is the way to go.

Not really, I guess you could go chopping fingers off them instead but that kind of ruins the idea of wearing them in the first place. The main reason I wear Mechanix is because they fit me pretty well. If you can, next time you're in a store with gloves, teactical, leather, /out/ style whatever, try on as many pairs as you can. try different sizes of the same one.

You're sorted with those ones for now but next time pick the ones that fit you best, I'm afraid the only way to do that is to just try shit loads of them on. You may end up with a pair of plain looking outdoor gloves that nobody on /k/ thinks is cool but they'll fit you better so you'll be able to do whatever you do better - who gives a shit what we think, we're assholes remember?

Among /k/ these happen to be the more prominent brands. They are common, and trusted among the majority of kommandos. Personally I'm not a Mechanix man, I tore a pair of mine up within a week. Doesn't mean don't try them, just my opinion.

Like I always say whatever works best for you. If it works, it works. Take anyone opinion with a grain of salt, but don't just dismiss it either.

Nice M Pacts OP, I have them in Multicam and black. They're comfy and are actually pretty good shooting gloves. The black ones are a size large and are were a little big for my small baby hands. The Multicam ones are mediums and were at first a bit tight but fit great now that I've broken them in. I use the multicam ones for shooting and the black ones as general, outdoors/camping gloves.

I always used these Camelbak Vent gloves. Skull aside, these gloves are perfect for my hand and I have yet to find gloves to replace them. Superior to Mechanix, 5.11, and OR in terms of personal fit and use.

Very little, if any, dexterity loss. I just blew out one of the thumbs, I might just cut off the thumb, might buy a new pair.

The USMC war belt is fine. I keep the suspenders on mine, but I also load it pretty heavily. Do what works for you.

Boots depend on your feet and environment. I use Moabs in summer and issued GoreTex ones in winter.

I use Mechanix fastfits for summer and Mechanix insulated (a size up from the summer ones) over wool liners in winter. I treat gloves and socks the same way. Pick something that works in your use and be aware that you will wear them out.

I wear underarmor with a light shirt in summer, and layer some extra thermals on in winter. You can find issued combat shirts for cheap on ebay if you like.

Forgot jacket, sorry. I typically use a GoreTex hardshell (in LOLUCP) when it is wet and cold outside. If I feel the need I wear a light fleece with it, but be aware that if you are comfortable standing still, you will start to get hot when you move. Less is more when it comes to snivel gear.

I've had issues with the impacts getting caught at weird angles inside trigger guards of some pistols (compact tier lol9mm, and a few times in my 1911) and also occassionally in my AR.

I switched to Running back gloves (Nike/underarmor/Adidas/etc.) with the thin layer of super grippy rubber against the palm, and subsequent surfaces of fingers and had great experiences with them due to their stick to motherfucking everything nature, it took about 6 months of hard use innadesert to finally start breaking down the adhesive, and the grip beginning to flake off, but they were like 20 bucks at Dicks, so I'm not complaining too much.

PIG FDT gloves are great, and have lasted forever, but are a bit on the warm side for me, for 9 months out of the year (loldesert).

If you have manlet hands, they make a 'womens' fdt glove that might suit you better.
