Why does it seem that Shot Show is full of products that we'll never see in the wild? It's like this show has become a place to show off the really cool shit you'll never make. It's as bad as concept cars at car shows. Everyone want it, but, the makers won't be selling it.
Are you that surprised? I think it's more for the investors anyways.
We all know that no matter how much cool shit is shown by the companies, everything they will release is just going to be another AR15.
It's also, historically, where everyone shows off their new products. No one makes product announcements around or at the Great American Outdoors Show or the NRA Annual Meeting.
Also, you can see all the tweets from the convention floor by searching for this:
I live in Commiefornistan so almost everything on display might as well be non-existent anyways.
I have to say though that new Tavor looks pretty cool, I might look into buying one if I ever move to the United States.
Even if they release it, nobody's gonna buy it. The firearms industry in the United States is very locked-in as it stands. Mostly due to the inability to catch the attention of the younger generations, due to them being brainwashed by Communists and tucked away in Suburban Hell.
>Mostly due to the inability to catch the attention of the younger generations, due to them being brainwashed by Communists and tucked away in Suburban Hell.
Okay grandpa, what are you like 90?
Fucking kids are playing first person shooters all the time and getting interested in real guns.
The only time you end up with a kid who goes shooting and cries (like that kid that went with a friend of the family to shoot an AR and cried about it), is when the expectation of danger and stress is put on them by the parent frontloading it.
I am willing to bet money that kids mom, and any kid that is deathly afraid of casual range shooting, is told by their parents beforehand how much danger they are in while shooting and how terrible it is if they like it.
since this thread is dildos what are some youtube channels/websites to see shot show stuff? I'm watching these two so far https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnKbs5xffaEzzdKdPZvfhdQ
Import laws need to fuck off. I love America, but our Gun companies are starting to have shitty QC and not make anything new and exciting largely because there is no competition from foreign guns. Even if you buy a Benelli, it comes into the state neutered in a sport configuration and have US made parts. So you end up having to spend 500 or more bucks to restore your Benelli M4 into it's full capacity.
I don't know what you're talking about.
Now here's a $4000 1911 from SS.
>let me just put my hand in front of the muzzle with the hammer back and off safe, then point it at everyone
I'm used to having guns pointed at me in a gun show, but fuck that shit on a live firing range.
>Mfw seing the grip
It's not always vaporware
>Federal's new HST and syntec ammo
Really happy about this
>Leatherman redeeming themselves after Signal shit bomb
Very disappointed with another shitty skeletool and a knifeless rebar instead of the rumored updated wave
>Ruger brand Glock
Do you not see the missing segments of the firearm? They paint the edges of the missing sections in red so its easier to see. This should be obvious to anyone even slightly familiar with the concept of "a gun"
American cars sucked on purpose because they wanted the consumer to buy new cars and keep repair shops in business.
Then the 1990's happen.
Japs like building shit that lasts a long time.
They wreck American car industry until 2015 when somebody at Ford said..."hey let's make good quality trucks and cars and people will buy our brand again."
Same needs to happen with guns.
922r compliance needs to go away and demanding imports be sporting only and have their bayonet lugs and other features taken off need to fuck right off.
But, Anon, it's bait. You're suppose to be defeated after responding. Why won't you play along? I mean, I've been here for two weeks and everyone who takes bait are complete losers.
I'm really interested in this.
I want to get my dad one for my parent's 20th anniversary (if it's released by then). If not, I might go with a Les Baer or Wilson Combat.
I wanted to take my parents on a 14-day cruise of Northern Europe, but they said no. So I'll just buy my dad a nice gun, and my mom a nice Chanel purse.
>They wreck American car industry until 2015 when somebody at Ford said..."hey let's make good quality trucks and cars and people will buy our brand again."
Top kek, retards bought lots of domestic trucks in 2015 because gas was cheap and people are shortsigted and tasteless.
Fiesta ST is $20k and beats out anything at its price-point. It is one of the most fun cars to drive on the US market currently. The Focus ST is similar, has a bit more power overall but has competition with the VAG Golf GTI and TotallyNotVaporware new Mazdaspeed 3. The Ecoboost Mustang beats out a lot of competition that cost significantly more, such as the BMW M2. While the 2016 Camaro SS is overall better after being lightened, the Mustang is cheaper, startinf around $25k.
>extra hard recoil
>special mag springs
>all for just $4,000
John is pretty cool, I always listen to GCR.
Some people don't seem to like John, though. Who the fuck cares if they get a couple facts wrong or say something that you don't agree with?
Unless you drive an autotragic, in which you should kill yourself. The FiST and FoST are manual-only, and don't have transmission issues. They had clutch issues early on, but they were very rare and have all been fixed.
have a friend who has a manual, has replaced 4 clutchs under warranty and keeps being told that it is the transmission that is fucking it up and they have no fix for it yet. He puts a lot of miles on. I don't drive new cars... Truck just under 200k miles car just over 145k miles Motorcycle 45k miles. Honestly I've had a bunch of fords in the family.
Still holding out hope that they get the BRS-99 in as a pistol
Anyone else hyped for the tritium version of the see all?
Is Instructor Zero a manlet? Or is everyone a manlet by Hickok45 and Son?
No, because it's fucking stupid. Unless you line up the reticle right at the top of the sight you can't actually see what the reticle is over and there's nothing keeping dirt from getting on the internal components and obscuring the reticle. It manages to take the worst parts of iron sights and red dot sights and combine them while adding a bit of extra shittyness on top.
>Maybe if they fucking removed the logo from the reticle
They did that not long after it came out if I remember correctly, it still doesn't change how it has everything that can go wrong like a red dot and more and still requires precise alignment like regular iron sights to be able to see where you're shooting.
>24, work as an investment banker
>4,500 sq foot house
>Calls me a soccer mom
Shit anon you have to try harder than that. My life fucking rocks.
It drives so good though Anon.
Here is what it replaced, my weekend/track driver previously.
>mfw I drive a 2014 C7, 2005 MR2 Spyder, 2003 S500 4MATIC, 2013 F250 King Ranch, and a 2015 Airstream Grand Tour EXT
>mfw looking to sell the S500 and my boat and buy a Focus RS
>mfw you're telling me to buy a "real car"
Sorry that I triggered you, anon.
I was going to get an S4 actually, but decided on an A6 because its a bit bigger, plus I already had the 135i, so it all worked out well. The A6 is probably the best car I have ever owned.
Advertising would do absolute wonders to draw a younger audience.
Video games going full SJW doesn't fucking help. Fuck Bethesda in their faggot asses for the fucked up Fagout 4 guns.
I love it, though I wish I went with the Z06. Handles well, and it real fun to take to the beach and track.
Only issue I've had was the paint started stripping really early... like Mazda-tier early. Went to the dealership and they re-painted it under warranty for free.
My dad had a C6 Z06 and it peeled like a motherfucker on the hood after about 6 months so I feel you there. I think the C7 is a great value. I can't say I am much of a fan of the Focus lineup because the hot 4-banger thing doesn't do it for me.
I live in Utah (not a native) and practically all the nicer neighborhoods in Salt Lake City and Provo look like in that picture.
>big fucking houses stuffed close together with almost no side yards or space between the houses
>only a few small trees, so you're always in direct line of sight with everybody else in the subdivision
Then, the lower income neighborhoods...
>small houses stuffed onto even smaller lots
>a couple trees here and there
>no green grass on the lot or any of the neighbors' lots
It drives me nuts.
I'm not talking about living rurally. People just need some trees around where they live so they can have some privacy, shade, and peace of mind. I would put up with none of these things in very rare circumstances, for example if that neighborhood were on the Moon or on Mars, but on Earth, trees grow naturally and readily. There's no excuse for not having them, and the way houses are crowded together without yards in these subdivisions reflects a greed on the developers' part that detrimentally affects quality of life living there.
>why does the Detroit Auto show seemed to be filled with cars we will never see in the wild?
Conventions are nothing but giant dick waving contests, regardless of industry
>just watched this episode the other day
>Data shows that he's capable of creating new androids with positronic brains
>an episode in a previous season showed that humans can transfer their consciousness into androids (as happened to data)
>Everyone forgets about all of this, data doesn't try to make a new android despite having the ability to
>literally have the secret to eternal life and the the technological singularity at their fingertips
>do absolutely nothing with it
This is exactly the problem I have with Star Trek. In about 1/4 episodes they discover something that should be galaxy changing and then it gets completely ignored. Like that episode they found an alien god that just wanted to live a peaceful life, then killed an unknown and very powerful alien civilization that had never been seen before (he said he killed 30 billion people). Never hear about the civilization again, never hear about that guy again. And the federation still hasn't developed cloaking technology despite the Romulans having it 75 years ago and the Kingons having it. Also, what the fuck is the point of the transporter room if they can teleport people from anywhere in nearby space to anywhere on the ship?
The first part of your criticism is legit and I completely agree, but
>Also, what the fuck is the point of the transporter room if they can teleport people from anywhere in nearby space to anywhere on the ship?
Has been addressed a number of times elsewhere.
I'd go on, but we're getting off topic here.
I don't give a fuck as long as this one makes the cut.
"Hill & Mac Gunworks brought to the show their brand new rifle, the HMG Sturmgewehr, a reproduction of the famous German StG-44 assault rifle of World War II. The company bought prototypes of three different configurations of the new gun, the STG-N, a rifle, the STG-P, a pistol with a short 13″ barrel, and the STG-K, an SBR. All three versions will be made available in four calibers, the company said: 5.56×45, 7.62×39, .300 Blackout, and the original German 7.92×33 Kurz for the purists."
