Is there anything unrealistic about this gun? Looks like a legit modern day rifle concept to me. Why doesn't somebody build it?
Point stands. Why is it so hard to build one of these? What about them doesn't work IRL?
I know you're trolling, but I'll point some shit out for those who are probably unaware.
What the fuck is the design of that muzzle brake supposed to do? Vent more gas out the side before thrusting what is the equivalent of a fart out of the brake cut? It looks like a piece of shit that was not thought out and only exists because it looks cool and the muzzle flash would be super edgy and shaped like an arrow. It's not going to diminish recoil nor will it enhance it.
Red dot only? What the fuck is wrong with you, nigger? And where do the batteries go? The fucking thing obviously isn't solar powered. Why is there no back up irons? This is fucking retarded.
What the fuck is the shape of that hand guard? No one has hands shaped like that. No one rests their fucking middle finger on anything when they're holding a rifle nor do they rest their trigger finger down and below the trigger when practicing trigger discipline. It's an unnatural position for the hand and it's not somewhere you're going to put your hand. It's there to look cool, but I'm not fucking stupid.
The slab on this trigger tells me that instead of pivoting like a normal trigger, it fucking slides backwards like a 1911 trigger, ergo it's probably mushy as fuck and useless. The best triggers are usually single-stage triggers with little travel before actually tripping the sear to release the hammer. This thing has a fucking inch of travel and is mushier than a fucking tomato. This trigger alone would prompt me to land this abomination in the fucking trash bin.
I'm assuming this is a safety. It has two fucking dots and neither of them make any fucking sense, nor does the placement of the trigger. It's unergonomic as fuck and doesn't do much to tell the user if it's on safe, if it's set to semi-automatic or if it's set to full automatic. It's a little fucking slider set behind the user's thumb. Not above it. Not slightly in front of it. Behind it.
The placement of the bolt and it's charging handle don't make any sense to me. The charging handle is clearly on the left side for ergnomic reasons but it's placed in the wrong fucking area where the charging handle would be on a traditional rifle; not a bulpup. Considering that the fucking rifle is chambered for 7.62 real fucking nato, the travel of the bolt is too short. In addition to this, where in the love of god does the rifle eject from?
Where is the magazine?
Is it supposed to be peeking out from under the little curved surface? If so, why is the magazine curved with it? Why are you wasting your cash on aesthetic features instead of making it ergonomic for your super soldiers? Why is it so fucking big? Surely that's not the magazine.
Alright, let's fix this by posting the non-lol343i version.
343 can't do anything right
they are retarded ascended mlg fanboys
meanwhile the talent in bungie lost all their leadership and are foced making some weird halo/cod/diablo hybrid
feels bad man
To be fair, it probably ejects on the right side, or underneath the front of the handguard. We can't see the ejection port purely because of the position o the rifle, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Everything else is fucking stupid though.
>What about them doesn't work IRL?
Do you just not know that "bullpup" is a thing or what?
If you're asking why the U.S. and Russia haven't switched to them, it's because it would cost too much money for nominal improvements over what they already have.
Wat, why would your face be that close when clearly the position of the stock, and cheek pad indicate (ergonomics also indicate) that your face would be 2-3" to the rear of the farthest back position of the charging handle, also why have the charging handle hard mounted to the bolt and not have it just be a pull guide like on an M240B where it slides forward independently and does not follow the bolt during firing
Looks like it has two gas tubes, a small one on top of the barrel and the fuckhuge one on the bottom? Its obvious they were going for an M14 look, and probably then confused it with a Mk 17 or HK 417
Whats all the shit in front of the trigger? Controls for that huge as shit laser on the front?
Yeah, the bolt would have to be non-reciprocating, that would be some wicked eye relief on that optic though assuming its not just a red dot and actually is like 4 power.
Caseless ammo usually incorporates a "case" for the bullet made up of a primer and is ignited by a normal firing pin.
Basically imagine a normal case but when hit, it disintegrates and the case itself is the propellant.
Even though this doesn't include the DMR...
Same anon here, I'll tell you what I think.
This is obviously meant to be flash hider off of an M14. However that flash hider is adequate in day-time conditions, in low light settings the M14 has a muzzle blast like a spot light. However, I really can't hold it against them because at the time this was designed firearms weren't necessarily a popular topic and guys like the AKOU didn't exist. But if this were made today, I'd call them a fucking idiot for not researching their muzzle devices. Again, that information probably wasn't available at the time.
Holy shit that clusterfuck of optics. This really is just bad. I have added a line to highlight that none of the optics co-witness, not even the irons. I really don't understand why the objective lense is staggered from the pupil, as from what I've seen the optic only has a single magnification. It's just... it's aesthetic. And that makes it stupid.
There is a flash light on a fucking DMR. I don't get this. Please send help. Also, where does it activate from?
I'm assuming these maybe are the power settings for the flash light. Or maybe they're for something else. Either way, what the fuck were they thinking?
Slide trigger instead of a pivoting trigger makes this fucking useless for a DMR role. Granted, it has 1/2" less travel than the previous version I glanced over, but it's still a shitty idea and immediately makes it worthless.
The ergos on this thing are now acceptable, however the fucking select fire doesn't make sense. There is obviously one for safety (white), but what are the other two? I can't even tell from looking at it. Is it select fire? Does it have a cutoff to make it function as a straight-pull? Explain this shit.
The charging handle is even worse on this. Holy shit, why would you put it so far back on a bulpup? Granted it won't smack you on your teeth but it's still pretty poorly thought out.
IS THE FUCKING EJECTION PORT DIRECTLY ON YOUR CHEEK? HOLY SHIT WHAT. THAT IS OBVIOUSLY THE EJECTION PORT ON THIS RIFLE AND I THINK I HAVE CANCER.
Is that the magazine? Why is the magazine so big? I forgot to mention on the first one; but where is the fucking mag release?
How about this fictional bullpup?
It looks like it could work.
what about this .50 makarov?
>two bolts holding a plate in place
>HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE EJECTION PORT.
No, no it's not. There are 2 rivets holding it in place. It may an ambidextrous ejection port, where you take those bolts out and swap it over to the other side, but that is not an ejection port. Control your autism.
Don't need to, it uses a more advanced propellant and achieves a higher velocity than you would expect.
There are also automatic versions of the Handgun. Which were loaded with explosive rounds.
Magnum was great in CE, they nerfed it later on for balancing. DMR and BR are also nerfed for balancing.
You forget that they are also facing aliens with energy shielding that just eats lead for breakfast. So, having large rounds that require a lot of power for a shield to vaporize is kind of a necessity.
I've actually grown to like the not-AK.
At first I thought it looked ugly as fuck, but now it doesn't look half bad. If only they got rid of that vestigial trace of traditional AK rear sight.
Ayy lmaos are hardier than humans. You need bigger boolit to kill ayy lmao.
Also bigger boolit takes more energy for shield to block.
Sometimes though, you need MORE boolit. Is more boolit better, or is bigger boolit better? Nobody knows.
It lists height at 7 inches.
If the weapons length is 9 inches, the height would be around a foot according to the picture and in game model.
The discrepancy in magazine capacity for the size of the magazine can't be easily explained either.
I really don't like that grip angle...
Mag relase looks likes its in a bad spot, the Safety and Auto need to be flipped because if its turned to giggle I feel like I might bump it when going to remove my mag.
Otherwise not bad imo.
>looked at su-16 online
>go to LGS
>they had one
>the upper is 90% polymer
>liking Halo 5
>calling other people autists
Kill yourself you fucking sperg, 343 ruined the Halo series.
Most of the points you make about why this gun is retarded actually exist on the styer aug. Seems like they got the design from it anyway, the trigger guard and safety look very similar.
1. The Aug has a real muzzle brake.
2. The Aug doesn't use a red dot and it has backup irons
3. The handguard doesn't have a major kink in it.
4. Steyr does have a mushy trigger
5. The Steyr's safety is a clear in or out and sits above your thumb.
6. The charging handle on the Steyr is forward of the pistol grip and not in your face. It also has a good ~10 inches of travel.
7. The magazine on the Steyr is obvious with an obvious magazine release button.
>Steyr does have a mushy trigger
Yeah, but nah m8, styre does have a mushy trigger. Years of using those cunt rifles have taught me this, every one of the old f88's has has different play in the trigger from years of being bashed.
>The Steyr's safety is a clear in or out and sits above your thumb.
That's what it looks like in the pic too.
That being said, I think 343's rifle is a shit cunt and they should fuck off.
