It was actually a tasteful movie.
A tasteful Micheal Bay film.
The CIA chief was a cartoon character though
And the Air Force proved itself to be the world's most irrelevant branch yet again. This was the USAF's fault more than anyone else.
>yfw the IT guy got a memorial picture in the film
>not playing in my town yet
"they raped and murdered the ambassador, sir. And they put him in jello! I can't work like this!"
gf and I went to see it the other day, I actually liked it, although I felt like they tried to be COD too hard at points in the movie. I coud have sworn a few times that I was no longer watching a movie and instead watching some kid play COD:MW2
it was ok, they kept fingers off triggers, complained every time the new guy kept flagging them, used semi auto when they needed to get accurate shots on targets and full auto for supression fire etc.
I enjoyed it.
Pic is of the CIA chief. Every single scene.
It's because the Army can't understand Warden's five rings faggot.
ATACMs covered over 80% of the Instant-Thunder Target list. GLCMS would have covered 100%.
Ironic how the USAF's chief justification for existence is the same one that makes pilots totally obsolete.
Sicario made CIA SAD SAG look like gods
13 Hours made the rest of the CIA look like a bunch of bitches and women
Why didn't they have SAD SOG members at the station? Maybe then they could have stood a fighting chance.
If you read the 13 hours book, the operators have nothing positive to say about the airforce. The drone that got provided was useless and was basically only telling them thing they already knew and providing intel on the areas that where within visual range of the CIA compound. Instead of providing them information about incoming threats outside of visual range
Because the operators on site where contractor bodyguards. They where used to escort case officers with no paramilitary experience around. They where all ex SF guys with exception of the marine. The guys who came in to help included two active duty Delta guys who where being used as astop gap messure because they didn't have enough of the contractors.
SAD SOG does the actual paramilitary shit like extracting assets and god knows what else.
The film made State Dept out to be irrelevant. The fact that Ambassador Chris Stevens insisted on setting up in a random barely guarded consulate was his own damned fault.
He was on the job for two months and wanted to win hearts and minds by pretending he totally wasn't in a war zone.
Fucker lived in a fantasy land, like most diplomats. Got himself killed.
He didn't shoot the grenade. He shot the guy holding the RPG as he was getting ready to fire it and it was still pointed down and the guy pulled the trigger when he was shot.
>mfw the DShK did its thing when used on foot mobiles
I laughed my fucken ass off when that sandnigger shot the RPG at the deck at his feet. People in the theater looked at me like I had a dick growing out of my forehead. RPG-7 HE rounds technically have a safe arming distance of 3-5 meters. But in IRL who the fuck knows, so yeah boom at 100 meters and boom at 1 meter.
To be fair, those ragheads are capable of fucking anything up. I've seen several clips of those retards firing an RPG into the very building they were using for cover because they decided to duck back into cover too quickly and blew themselves back to Allah as a result.
When they did a shot of 10th group in the plane
Say a little too loudly
>did that dude have a fucking m16
From somewhere a few rows in front of me
>I KNOW RIGHT?!
Sometimes being in an area with a like 50% military demographic is cool.
>>28587243 I saw a vid of a couple of goat fuckers in a city and one of them turned the corner to shoot an RPG and right as he pulled the trigger nother mofo walks right behind him to pop off a couple rounds and ends up getting his face fucking evaporated from back blast
3 seals, 2 marine sniper, 1 ranger, and 1 marine
where all of them had over a decade of experience and been on multiple DA mission.
They weren't push overs. They defended successfully too.
Some of the shitty knock off RPGs made for export in China have no safeties.
The real ones also have a maximum flight time counter that blows them up if you try to use them as artillery.
Let's you use them as cheap Flack against helicopters.
I hope he didn't say anything offensive as he died. Don't want to offend their sensibilities.
surprisingly based movie.
what was the deal with the rpg lobs? the rockets seemed to perfectly dive down into the compound. was that accurate?
also why did the libyan mortar crew stop after a few rounds? they could have killed way more people.
They probably got nervous staying in one spot for so long. That and they likely ran out of rounds.
Supposedly they had ample time to set up and get their angle right since local forces could have helped them hone in.
It being Bay, I can expect it to be Murrica as fuck, but is the gun stuff at least fairly accurate?
In REAL life though it was 1 SEAL three peacetime POG marines and one peacetime ranger/national guard 2lt. All combined less than 20 years TIS and no one deployed with the armed forces. Lets not get our ducks too big over these guys.
>being happy that someone was murdered by terrorists because his politics trigger your feels
And people wonder why this board has to fight daily battles against itself.
MFW I'm a former Marine Sniper headed to a DSS selection in feb
Do some research.
He sent requests for more guards repeatedly. Literally begged for more help weeks before the attack. They knew something could be coming.
State dept actually cut their armed presence.
>responsible for indirectly murdering a diplomat
>responsible for deliberately obstructing justice by deleting her State Department emails
>known to be an abrasive asshole in and out of office
>still gets to run as a presidential candidate contender
You know, I can almost understand why people want to back a literal socialist instead of that criminal. Almost.
>" Lets not get our ducks too big over these guys."
>let's not remember these guys who fought to the last man to defend a completely fucked situation TOO fondly now guys, it's not like they had any experience with constantly dropping tangos on the foh-foh
Given the context, nigger, I'd say those guys were pretty fucking bad ass
Glen Doherty, 42
>SEAL prior to Cole Bombing (2000), so with BUDS, Airborne, and STT, probably enlisted in 1997/8. Left USN in 2005, so that's 7-8 years as a SEAL alone, plus 7 years as a PMC.
Tyrone Woods, 41
>20 Years as a SEAL, retires in 2010 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8) (Which is the same as a Sergeant Major for Armyfags) and two years with State, Bronze Star with Combat V
This isn't including:
Jack da Silva, who trained SEALs at Coronado which means he made at least two deployments (5-6 years in service)
Kris Paronto, who was in the Ranger Batt for at least 5-6 years
Mark Geist (Marine)
Jon Tiegen (Marine)
Dave Benton (Marine Scout Sniper)
These guys fucking operate. All of them deployed to the shit-South America, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya
Kris Tanto Paranto
>2nd Batt, 75th Rangers
>5th Special Forces Group
>Blackwater since 2003
Triple Canopy Contractor
You can look up Jon "Tig" Tiegen and Dave "Boon" Benton on your own.
