Na, I had it on a VEPR.

But yeah, my first AK was a WASR. Had a bad trigger group, a loose AND misaligned trigger axis pin. It would double fire and light tap primers, depending on its mood. Also it was one of those shitty imports with the welded muzzle brake.

I fixed it to the point where it was safe to fire and use, cut the muzzle weld and cleaned the threads. Replaced disconnecter and trigger, stoned the hammer, and gave it good furniture.

Thing is, it was still a giant piece of shit and I don't miss it one bit.

I can honestly say the C39v2 is pretty good. Ive ran about 600 rounds through it and havent had one jam yet. Yet. Typically century is very unreliable and is sometime good, mostly bad. I might have gotten lucky with this one, or maybe its just a good rifle. WASRs are 95% bad. If they were cheaper it would be a pretty good throw rifle.

My issues with century have mostly revolved around construction, tolerances, tool marks on critical components, and general QC. As far as reliability goes they've all done fairly well outside of HP ammo, which tends to fail to feed. This problem is easily solved by having a competent gunsmith do some grinding and polishing. Also, its important to note that if you plan on shooting an AK in hard, unpredictable environments to regularly punch the bore with cleaning rods to ensure there isn't a bore obstruction. I've personally seen two AKs KB and seriously injure the shooters because the dust cover becomes shrapnel that goes straight into the shooters face.

The path of least resistance on an AK also just so happens to be right at the eyes of the shooter.

I bought a makarov thinking it would be a good carry gun. It's heavy as shit for its caliber and capacity...

Mosins are actually fun as fuck, no ragrets there.

Bought a yugo AK and it was so shitty I sold it within a couple months. The fit and finish is terrible, no mags fit except some Korean one I had, and it was heavy as hell compared to my saiga.

The glockleg meme was birthed mostly by LEOs shooting themselves during the initial issuing of glocks. It was thrusted into mainstream by "high speed instructors" banning serpa holsters from their classes because of the volume of GSWs they were producing.

Midlength uppers are fine if they are built correctly. I just bought a new BCM midlength and it runs flawlessly. Of course there's more recoil than say... a 20" with a rifle length gas system, but it's a 5.56... there's almost no recoil anyways.

I would say the mosin meme, but I got my first nugget 2 months before I found /k/.

its kinda shitty, since its a post war arsenal refurb but the laminate stock is fucking beautiful, and I also love it as my first gun I bought myself and ill probably never sell it.

my PU mosin on the other hand shoots like a dream, and is so much better in every way.

Got an SKS too, but I love it. its not a shitty meme, and its a ton of fun to shoot.

Also, the flecktarn works fantastic in new England, and I love my soft fleck fatigues.

It's mostly issues with being under/over gassed due to improperly sized gas ports, improper barrel lengths, especially after the gas port, improper buffer and spring combinations to meet said gassing issues, and general parroting from retards who don't know what they're talking about.

A properly built midlength is a very fine rifle

I've got the Canadian version of a mix between a Ushanka and an Aviator's cap. It's great, even though I live in Northern Australia and the heat will cause you to sweat a lake in between your balls, in winter it's quite a comfy hat.

Got a Mosin. Haven't had enough shooting experience to tell whether or not it's actually a /good/ gun, but it's fun as fuck to shoot and bolt-action is pure sex. Not really much else, the only other gun I have is a single-action Ruger.

M4s have 14.5" barrels, use a carbine length gas system.

Middies have 16" inch barrels, use mid-length gas system.

16" barrels with carbine length gas system will work, inversely 3-gunners can run run 17.3" barrels with rifle length gas systems, but it's not ideal for general use in either case.

It was my first pistol and after buying other guns I realize how much I fucking hate the scratchy trigger. I tried selling it but the gun store would only take $300 for it even though it's in perfect shape. Since I bought it I have gotten a Makarov, P220, and recently a Jericho 941. I am through with shitty plastic striker fire garbage.
