>bought a midlength ar
>bought a west german sig
>bought an arsenal, an sgl in particular
>have over $2,000 in bakelite magazines
>own two primary arms advanced dots
>bought a midlength ar
>bought a west german sig
Good for you.
>bought an arsenal, an sgl in particular
so now you have the best AK and Pistol
>have over $2,000 in bakelite magazines
>own two primary arms advanced dots
Na, I had it on a VEPR.
But yeah, my first AK was a WASR. Had a bad trigger group, a loose AND misaligned trigger axis pin. It would double fire and light tap primers, depending on its mood. Also it was one of those shitty imports with the welded muzzle brake.
I fixed it to the point where it was safe to fire and use, cut the muzzle weld and cleaned the threads. Replaced disconnecter and trigger, stoned the hammer, and gave it good furniture.
Thing is, it was still a giant piece of shit and I don't miss it one bit.
>/k/ memes you fell for
I can safely say 0.
I own a nugget, which is a part of /k/ culture, but only after using one and loving it when a friend got one. /k/ didn't influence that one bit.
I've usually been the one to have less common stuff, or get things before everyone else needed to have them, sometimes to huge advantage. Like owning an ak-74 before everyone jumped on it and made the price of ammo skyrocket past 10c/r years before surplus was actually banned.
bought a vz2008 when they were $399
great /k/ meme though since it's an excellent rifle
the 10mm meme.
anyone mentioning it in the same sentence as .44 magnum has no idea what they're talking about
congratulations, when the demonic ghost of Joseph McCarthy inevitably arises in the next 10 years you're going straight to prison
god I wish I was only being snarky
what the fuck happened to America man
>insert weapon large enough to handle any rifle loads
>imagine it in 10mm!
>pistol carbines are a /k/ meme I thankfully avoided.
I'm still getting an mp5 clone in 9mm.
it's just not all that impressive to shoot is all.
44mag is a good balance of price, power, and recoil but the differences between 10, 45, 9, 357 etc are pretty negligible.
honestly for autos I prefer 45 for the ubiquity and bore size
There are two things about the NPAP I dislike, and one of them ruins the gun for me
The way the stock is shaped, it somehow manages to send recoil directly into my jaw bone. The other being its nonchrome lined barrel
I went to a nuggetfest
Got drunk as fuck and had a good time
Hip fired a 14.9 SOP rifle
Shot 308 in a fucked up Mosin
Shot +p+ 40 s&w in a G20
Convinced a guy to cut down and recrown a scar 16 which, surprisingly, turns it into a single shot rifle unless you redo the gas system
Made and shot an obrez off an M44
Made a homemade *registered off of form 1* 22lr suppressor out of steel wool, duct tape, and a plastic bottle
Dunked desert marpat blouses into portashitter water to turn it into UCP
Shot 50BMG in a break action shotgun
Also loaded 45ACP with large rifle primers, tack welded the firing pin hole on the bolt face if a cheapo 1911, removed the firing pin, and made a slamfire pistol which *super fucking surprisingly* didn't explode because of out of battery firing.
Fite me fgt
Outside of the poorfag nogunz retard tier memes they've all worked out.
Oh, also removed the shepherds crook in a WASR 10/63 and made a runaway gun when the trigger retaining pin walked out of the receiver.
That one was actually kinda scary. 29 rds of 7.62x39 going runaway when you don't expect it will oil check you
lmao not even yours. those are some tripfag mag whores. he has like fucking 30 gorillion mags for different guns. all those bakelites dont even compare to how many ar mags he has. not even a little. i sometimes dream about how many mags he has its so awesome. i wish i could be him
i dont know how to trip tbqh.
Im not chimps nerd
A lot of WASR 10/63s have improperly installed shepherds crooks anyways. Mine was more artificial. A lot of new AK owners just have it happen to them, and then all of a sudden DISASTER
>someone used my webm
Screencapping and putting into my portfolio.
ill never forget the time i accidentally took the one out of my first ak. i spent at least 3 hours trying to get it back in and then finally watched a youtube bideo and did it in 2 minutes. Good times.
The first time I took apart a Remington 1100 I has absolutely no fucking clue what I was doing. It was the second firearm I had ever owned. Literally the worst thing you could ever disassemble without help.
boy if youre the skeleton i got bad news for ya...
Absolutely no experience, but after six 10/63s, two 10s, and a centurion I will never buy century again.
If you buy century, you better know what you're looking for. I gave century ample opportunities to prove themselves and they've fallen short every time. If all you want is a range toy you don't mind fixing up they'll work, but that's not what I'm interested in anymore
I can honestly say the C39v2 is pretty good. Ive ran about 600 rounds through it and havent had one jam yet. Yet. Typically century is very unreliable and is sometime good, mostly bad. I might have gotten lucky with this one, or maybe its just a good rifle. WASRs are 95% bad. If they were cheaper it would be a pretty good throw rifle.
>wants to buy shit from the company that literally bribed the czech military to adopt the bren 805 over the scar
>wants to buy shit from a company that supplies its militaries with barely functioning rifles out of greed
>unironically wants to pay nearly $1,000 for a gun with no legacy
nty faglord, go fellate a loaded 75b
Im glad it's working for you
My issues with century have mostly revolved around construction, tolerances, tool marks on critical components, and general QC. As far as reliability goes they've all done fairly well outside of HP ammo, which tends to fail to feed. This problem is easily solved by having a competent gunsmith do some grinding and polishing. Also, its important to note that if you plan on shooting an AK in hard, unpredictable environments to regularly punch the bore with cleaning rods to ensure there isn't a bore obstruction. I've personally seen two AKs KB and seriously injure the shooters because the dust cover becomes shrapnel that goes straight into the shooters face.
The path of least resistance on an AK also just so happens to be right at the eyes of the shooter.
I bought a makarov thinking it would be a good carry gun. It's heavy as shit for its caliber and capacity...
Mosins are actually fun as fuck, no ragrets there.
Bought a yugo AK and it was so shitty I sold it within a couple months. The fit and finish is terrible, no mags fit except some Korean one I had, and it was heavy as hell compared to my saiga.
Bought a glock and liked it but then shot myself in the leg, sold it to help pay the hospital bill, still owe around $490,000.
Bought tapco and promags against /k/s wishes, the tapcos are fine but the promags are indeed pure shit.
Bought condor stuff against /k/s wishes, its just okay. Doesn't rip apart like they said it would.
Got an FNX even though /k/ said it was squishy, fucking love it. Sold a couple other handguns because I didn't even want to shoot them anymore.
Out of curiosity did you shoot yourself while unholstering from a serpa?
Also how the fuck did a GSW to the leg cost you half a million? How badly did you fuck up?
Fnx handguns are nice.
Yeah i hate how everything is so fucking tight. The safety was super tight so i bent it and now its only a little tight but nearly perfect. The thingy, i forgot what its called but its the lever that keeps your upper handguard on. I still have problems with that so i will probably have to take it to a gunsmith or something. As for hollow points, I dont have any problems with them.
There was a faggot meme perpetuated by misinformed retards about midlength uppers performing subpar because of improper gas ports and bolt bounce because of gimmick ass buffers
The midlength fire sale created a Gucci buffer industry that gear queers rushed to spend money on, which ultimately negatively affected their rifles performance and their wallets. To soften their ass pounding, they blamed their problems on the rifles themselves and not their misinformed purchases or their childish behavior of blindly throwing money at a problem to fix it.
Fuck these people. These are the post-Sandy hook mall ninjas
Nope while holstering it at a range. I believe I started the glockleg meme here because I was so goddamn pissed off and still am so I shill against them every chance I get. I'm the safest of firearms users but because I put it in the holster at an angle that wasn't ideal I have severe muscle and nerve damage and can never exercise my legs or run again. I'm gearing up to sue glock for reckless endangerment of their customers, you'd be surprised how many top notch lawyers were interested in taking the case.
Because America, insurance and jews fixing prices and such. But its my fault I should work harder and start a multimillion dollar business so I can pay for the services I use.
no. Midlength is legitimately awful and a meme.
Why the fuck do you think the military doesn't use them and instead runs carbines/rifle length?
Stop being so paranoid about hurr misinfo and fucking read a thread for once in your life.
>the 10mm meme.
Thats why you should have gone for 40 Super
>he fell for the not da/sa meme
Have fun nicking your artery when your shitty gun goes off. I'll be enjoying my smooth sig transitions while you need to worry about your shit safety not working and your even shittier trigger.
So what buffers fuck with midlengths? I thought it was 'softer' than carbines and probably wouldn't even need a heavier buffer
But does this still create problems with certain kinds/weights of ammo? Or are 16" middies g2g?
In relation to
The glockleg meme was birthed mostly by LEOs shooting themselves during the initial issuing of glocks. It was thrusted into mainstream by "high speed instructors" banning serpa holsters from their classes because of the volume of GSWs they were producing.
I believe firmly in the glocks ability to be a fantastic service pistol, given the proper holster. Leather is always a no-go. You should always follow your muzzle into the holster when reholstering anyways
Tungsten powder and other powdered buffers dramatically increased bolt bounce, which could theoretically be catastrophic to the rifle under heavy volumes of fire. Idk of this ever happening outside of an out of battery in an M16 under full auto.
Midlength uppers are fine if they are built correctly. I just bought a new BCM midlength and it runs flawlessly. Of course there's more recoil than say... a 20" with a rifle length gas system, but it's a 5.56... there's almost no recoil anyways.
This is a stupid topic to waste your time on. Buy from a respectable company, and buy what will meet your needs the most. It's a fucking rifle, not a child.
>remove kebab meme
during the 3rd Balkan war, Serbia and the JNA were assholes, and fucking horrible people.
The Croats were assholes too and tossed fuel on serbia's fire, but at least they were defending their country, albeit while persecuting the serb minorities.
The Bosnian, Slovenians, Macedonians, and Albanians in Kosovo dindu nuffin wrong by comparison.
>seriously the worst fucking akm variants to ever come out, period
That meme is also extremely stale tbqf
>siding with mudslimes
not even once
I bought a Glock 19 after people told me on here that it was the best beginner handgun. I hated the ergonomics, and ended up selling it for a CZ-75 SP-01 which fit me perfectly and has absolutely no recoil.
I have a POSP on my VEPR, the reticle is so far to the right that it makes it hard to get a good scope picture. I'm literally maxed out on the left adjustment.
I can still hit shit with it, but it slightly bothers me but I know there's nothing I can do to fix this.
I was recovering from surgery and stuck at home. I couldn't go out, so I bought it online, had it shipped to a store, and picked it up after the waiting period.
I had a real hard time being in the store for only 15 minutes due to pain. I had to go home after that.
Are you fucking retarded? 14.5 which they use is still carbine length.
Quit sounding off like a prick when you know nothing. The big boys are talking here, noguns.
Carbine length gas systems were invented for 10.5 inch barrels and are perfectly suited for barrels up to 14.5 inches long. Middies were invented for 16 inch barrels and are suited for 14.5-19 inch barrels
Carbine length 16 inch guns are less than optimal.
5.45 Saiga and proceeded to convert it, then cheap 5.45 got banned so it's shit
10mm glock meme with lone wolf barrel to avoid glocknade
>anyone mentioning it in the same sentence as .44 magnum has no idea what they're talking about
.44 Magnum and 10mm auto are two things I would never want to get shot with.
Check and motherfucking mate.
I really like that AR for some reason
Makes me wanna ditch my FDE furniture and go for just all black
This. /k/'s nugget meme is the only meme I really fell for.
I mean my nugget is kinda cool and stuff but idk Im not that big into historical firearms like some of you guys are
Even in terms of manual action firearms I think my pump action is more fun to shoot than my nugget Im sorry thats just the way it is.
I spent $3 more per 500 rounds of 9mm to shoot 9mm REAL MOTHERFUCKING NATO 124 grain rather than the slightly cheaper 115 grain.
I could have bought myself a fucking hot dog but no, thanks /k/.
>didnt like a yugo
That's bizarre. I bought an NPAP and I really liked it. Accurate and shot well. Accepted most mags, obviously korean mags are shit so I avoided those.
They are fuck heavy though.
What do you expect from a board filled with childish poorfags that can't into saving up to buy good shit. Instead they mask their poorfagness with the stigma that poorfag shit is just as good and parroting bullshit on quality products to legitimize the garbage they bought.
>implying you won't get killed by white apologist SJWs in the name of cultural diversity, fairness, and equalit long before Mahmoud gers to cut off your head, but not before your elected officials hold your daughter down and let the brown brothers gang rape her
Europe is dead
well if it makes you feel better, I have a converted saiga in 7.62x39 with the same shitty bolt on handguard retainer. and my AR is basically the same but with fagpul stock and grip
Things I've fallen for:
>Flecktarn Parka Meme
Although, warm as fuck with the blizzards. It's now my truck coat that I throw in the back.
Sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten my Glock 30s in 9mm -- but I've found I shoot .45 much better.
>Buying anything from the Kommando Store
Patches and parka liner
That's about it. I've been on 4chan for about 9 years now and on /k/ for 6 of those. That's honestly not a bad record for the amount of time I've been here.
Sometimes you just have to follow your heart Anon.
Swiss /k/ommandos gave me shit for selling my Stgw 90 in order to buy an AR15. I'm quite happy with it and I use it more often than the Stgw 90.
I sold a SIG P210, which is like the circlejerk gun of 80% of /k/, happy to have sold it. It was a piece of shit.
Got a Mosin, happy with it as well.
SJWs are far to likely to be to weak to kill someone because their aversion to firearms, years of eating a strict vegan diet has left them anemic, and they easily duped by putting up "SAFE SPACE" notices.
Snackbar on the otherhand, gotta watch out.
>Austrian parka that was too big for me that I didn't do anything about
>Parka liner that was also too big
>Flektarn gloves that were too small\
>Austrian belt that I actually like and wear often
Definitely fell for the meme. Oh well.
I would say the mosin meme, but I got my first nugget 2 months before I found /k/.
its kinda shitty, since its a post war arsenal refurb but the laminate stock is fucking beautiful, and I also love it as my first gun I bought myself and ill probably never sell it.
my PU mosin on the other hand shoots like a dream, and is so much better in every way.
Got an SKS too, but I love it. its not a shitty meme, and its a ton of fun to shoot.
Also, the flecktarn works fantastic in new England, and I love my soft fleck fatigues.
It's mostly issues with being under/over gassed due to improperly sized gas ports, improper barrel lengths, especially after the gas port, improper buffer and spring combinations to meet said gassing issues, and general parroting from retards who don't know what they're talking about.
A properly built midlength is a very fine rifle
I've got the Canadian version of a mix between a Ushanka and an Aviator's cap. It's great, even though I live in Northern Australia and the heat will cause you to sweat a lake in between your balls, in winter it's quite a comfy hat.
Got a Mosin. Haven't had enough shooting experience to tell whether or not it's actually a /good/ gun, but it's fun as fuck to shoot and bolt-action is pure sex. Not really much else, the only other gun I have is a single-action Ruger.
Jesus christ, it's not that complicated.
M4s have 14.5" barrels, use a carbine length gas system.
Middies have 16" inch barrels, use mid-length gas system.
16" barrels with carbine length gas system will work, inversely 3-gunners can run run 17.3" barrels with rifle length gas systems, but it's not ideal for general use in either case.
Intermediate length gas systems are the only real meme. That, and the weird non-standardized short pistol gas systems.
It was my first pistol and after buying other guns I realize how much I fucking hate the scratchy trigger. I tried selling it but the gun store would only take $300 for it even though it's in perfect shape. Since I bought it I have gotten a Makarov, P220, and recently a Jericho 941. I am through with shitty plastic striker fire garbage.
Very underrated gun. They used to be all the rage in the 90's but they're outclassed by more of the smaller guns in terms of size and capacity.
I like mid-length gas systems because I get to put a bayonet on a 16" barrel.
>Muh wound vectors!
I've heard this about another caliber as well...
