Stream spray is better as it gives greater range and is less affected bywind. Get a handful of coins and tape them together, it gives you a much more effective and heavy punch. If the police ask the coins are for bus fare or laundry.

I'd honestly rather carry pepper spray than one of those, as I've heard about those not putting both shots where you're actually aiming which is very very bad when you only have 2 shots. They're also rather expensive compared to regular pepper spray so you can't exactly practice with them (in the US they cost $30-$40 each, the Sabre Red pepper spray I have for carry in places where I can't carry a gun was less than $10 and has enough in it that I could take a few practice shots at a wall behind my apartment when I got it).
