Name a better home defense weapon than an M92 SBR with a folding stock.
30 rounds of 7.62 goodness
That AK reliability
Light and manuverable for indoors operating
Can switch from an SBR to a fireball throwing pistol of death
Protip, you probably can so let's hear what you guys think tops this.
I'd probably prefer a pistol with my favorite HD ammo or a shotgun with 00 buck. I also wouldn't want to blow my eardrums out.
>>28521776
I wouldn't necessarily say tops but really any shorty rifle in an intermediate cartridge is going to do decent.
>>28521776
7.62x39 is a poor choice for a HD round unless you live out in the sticks.
>>28521913
Because muh fuddlore?
>pistol rounds because muh overpenetration
Lets just get this out of the way now.
>>28521922
Because you're a nigger.
>>28521946
How does M855 preform out of a short barrel, at lower fps, through walls?
>>28521922
because no one makes good SP or HP for it, same as 5.45
>>28521986
Blows straight threw them.
>>28521986
About the same as it does at 100m from a 20" barrel.
It's a nonissue at CQB ranges, even more of a nonissue at HD ranges.
>>28521959
Good responsooo
>>28521986
Pretty much the same, 5.56 starts tumbling and has more potential to break apart than a lot of heavier loads in general.
>>28521991
Soooo, muh boutiquelore.
>>28522019
>>28521776
How about an SBR'd AR in 5.56, 6.8spc, 6.5gren, 6.5mpc, 6mmAR, .204 Ruger, .17 Fireball, or .17-223?
>nigger-splattering terminal ballistics
>bullets don't go sailing in a straight line through all the walls and several hundred feet out the back of your house
>all of them have less recoil than 7.62x39
I suppose the Hornady 5.45 through an AK74 would be fine as well, but that stuff's kinda hard to find. 7n6 and clones don't cut it, they still overpenetrate.
Hell even that LelKek 5.56 pistol would be better, but honestly I want a stock.
>errybody talking pistols
Good luck hitting an intruder at 2AM after you're woken from a dead sleep at even 5ft with a pistol. 80% of SD shootings involve a 75%+ miss rate and those guys are wide awake in usually acceptable if not good light. Give me a stock and a longer sight radius.
>inb4 10,000 replies claiming to be as good as Jerry Miculek with a pistol
Bullshit, you'll miss, I guarantee it.
>>28522043
I like that you're actually so stupid you're convinced I have to be baiting because you don't know any better.
>>28522077
>>28522008
>doesn't know the difference between through and threw
Opinion discarded
>>28522093
I accept your defeat.
>>28521776
Suppressed, SBR AR-15 using subsonic .300blk.
>>28522107
Cool, the ballistics of a long barrel .45 ACP
No thanks.
>>28522107
>.300 meme-out
here they come..
>>28522101
>>28522107
Unless you're using something like the Lehigh Controlled Fracturing at $3 a round I'd be afraid of overpenetration in it.
Now, something like the 110gr Tac-TX or Varmageddon or something, sure, but those won't be subsonic. They're still quiet, and the supersonic crack isn't that big a deal.
>>28522126
Let me refer you to
>>28505114
you fucking vatnik
>>28522118
>>28522126
I agree it's a shit round for normal rifles, but for a suppressed AR it's pretty tough to find a round that does better out of a stock AR lower.
>>28522132
>gets btfo
>u-u-urbait ='(
You tried.
>>28522150
>>28522149
Except, you know, taking advantage of that rifle and using a proper supersonic round in it.
>>28522148
>vatnik
Probably should learn what that means before you try to use it as an insult.
>>28522171
Next pic.
>>28522149
So, what you're saying is 7.62x39 is an even shittier round then, since .300blk does everything it does, except better, smaller, and with less recoil?
Cool. Slavaboos BTFO then.
>>28522181
So...are you trying to say it doesn't mean a Russian/Soviet sympathizer that has a hardon for obsolete technology and thinks slavic countries can do no wrong?
Because that seems to be the only explanation for people who actually like slavic gear and weapons, since they're demonstrably objectively inferior to even huehue and sandnigger-designed stuff.
>>28522204
>>28522183
Oh man, another AR-child wandered out of the /arg/
>>28522173
For HD you won't always have time to kit up and put on earpro. I would prefer suppressed rifle shooting subsonic ammo and IMO that would be an suppressed AR shooting subsonic .300blk. It's all subjective and by all means feel free to pick something that works better for you.
>>28521776
My M1A-A1.
It doubles as a handy club with a steel plate on the end.
It's a REAL 7.62, not that intermediate slavshit.
>>28522211
Oh man, another slavaboo vatnik out of his /akg/ containment thread.
>>28522219
If you don't have time to put on electronic earpro hanging on something then you have a lot more problems than getting to your rifle. You're literally talking about a 5 second window, max, in the grand scheme of things, and opting to get those 5 extra seconds by sacrificing 3 times the kinetic energy, transfer rate, and potential fragmentation in a target.
While you're at it just switch to a 22 since they're generally lighter and you'll be able to raise the rifle to engage a sliver of a second faster.
>>28521991
except that's completely false in every aspect...
both wolf and tula make SP and HP and it's not even that much more expensive than FMJ.
>>28522238
>>28522204
>>28522183
Put your tripcode back on, taco tits.
>is /akg/ containment thread.
Lets take a look at both /arg/ and /akg/ right now shall we?
>/arg/: tripfag circlejerking
>/akg/ people actually talking about guns
AR children confirmed can't afford to shoot the rifles they spend their McDonald paychecks on.
>>28522262
Nice try but I'm not a fat beaner.
Also not an AR-boo, just like fucking with people who think the AK is the greatest thing ever.
>>28522254
>both wolf and tula make SP and HP and it's not even that much more expensive than FMJ.
yeah, and that shit isn't any better than FMJ for a defense scenario. They aren't well designed HP or SP bullets, they're just standard FMJs with holes drilled in the tip or with a cap of soft lead. They still tumble rather than expand quickly. No one makes frangible slav ammo, either
it's not that the calibers have no potential as HD rounds, it's just that there is no support for it.
>>28521776
Even the polymer tip 7.62x39 penetrates over 24" on FBI gel blocks on multiple youtube videos. That's 6" too much by FBI standards, assuming you put any value in those.
>>28521776
Hope you know a good ENT.
"Damn you, tinitus. You're a cruel mistress. "
>>28522290
>I was just pretending to be a retard
Shut up Dr8co.
>>28522344
ha.
Look at this idiot and laugh.
Why don't you go check for skellingtons in your closet too you paranoid faggot?
>>28522382
You're losing out of 'post count' by not using your tripcode, Bean Boy.
>>28522394
>oh no the fat mexican is after me
>better start randomly calling out anonymous strangers on the internet!
Tellin ya, you don't even have the right skin color.
>>28522429
Give it up dr8co. Tumblr awaits.
>>28522204
>inferior to even huehue
>>28522436
>no u
>>28521776
9mm carbine loaded with 32 rounds of Federal HST
Significantly less risk of overpenetration
>>28521776
>supersonic sbr
>not even suppressed
>indoors
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
UMP45.
What do I win?
>>28521776
>better home defense weapon than an M92 SBR with a folding stock
A suppressed sidefolding M85 SBR
>muh short barrel 556
The ~350fps loss is irrelevant to HD
>muh thirty cal
light and fast is less of an overpenetration problem
>AK sacrilege
personal problem
>uncommon/expensive mags
a (stanag) mag well is a real improvement to the AK platform
>bore concentricity
no less likely than your M92
I would try to access my first floor cameras and mag dump my 17S through the floor if possible, though.
>>28523341
shitty bait, improve yourself
>>28522394
When people first started posting that I thought they were kidding.
>>28521776
My current home defense weapon, because I value my hearing.
>>28524034
What's wrong with you
>>28524085
>imperceptably quieter
>causes negligibly less hearing damage
>significantly less likely to stop
0/10 try again
>>28524095
You're either baitin' or legitimately don't know 9mm is significantly more likely to overpenetrate. This is the benefit of the doubt.
